The accomodation was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The gentleman that assisted us when we arrived was really helpful and friendly. Our experience at breakfast was not as good, the lady who served us seemed a little put out by us requesting for pastries to be cooked as they had run out. When they arrived we just had pain au chocolat and they were partially raw so we didn't eat them.

Convenient boutique guesthouse
Great location close to the hovercraft terminal. Helpful staff agreed to meet us outside their opening hours so we could drop our bags off. Very small room but nicely done. Nice breakfast with a continental spread as well as a choice of bacon or sausage roll. Shame the restaurant closed. Overall very good for a one night stop on the way to the Isle of Wight.

The property has a first rate restaurant and only six rooms for guests. The staff were very friendly and competent. We had a room over the restaurant, which was noisy but only a problem if you need an early night.

Smart rooms and well heated. Comfortable bed. As wooden floors a little noisy at times. Best hotel breakfast i have had. Great food presentation and premium ingredients.

The service from the staff was first class. Super friendly and very welcoming. I can’t recall the chaos name at breakfast but he made the morning. I will definitely be back in the future. Oh and the granola bowl was epic.

Indifferent check in no communication from manager re arrival etc. Next morning after a good breakfast when we tried to leave we were locked into the property and could not get out - A non English speaking domestic had to let us out through the kitchen and we had to walk around the block with our luggage to our car!!!

We stayed for a wedding The hotel was outstanding in letting us check in early so we could get ready for the wedding day Room was spotless and very nice We arrived back late from the wedding and were able to enjoy a drink and some good company with the staff and owner The breakfast i must say was definitely one of if not the best i have had in any hotel Thanks so much Will recommend and hopefully return soon

A very warm welcome when you enter Becketts. We ate in restaurant before checking in our room and the food was of exemplary standard and wonderful flavours. Wonderful cocktails and they even make their own syprups for them! Check in very quick and easy and very safe as to get entrance to room is by keypad, so no lumbersome key! Room was beautifully designed and appointed especially the light under bed! Just feel the shower needs to be enclosed a bit more as water does spray everywhere!Bed very comfy and Large and huge tv. Highly recommend a stay here and support a local independent business. We will be back hopefully soon.

Booked this as surprise night away for my boyfriend to celebrate his 21st birthday! The hotel had a really friendly feel about it due to its boutique family run style making for a really guest focused experience! The room was cozy and beautifully decorated with everything we needed for our 1 night stay, with a comfy bed and great pillows making for an easy nights sleep! The location was perfect, in a quite area of Portsmouth but only a 10 mins walk to the centre. Breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious, the perfect hangover cue, I even asked for something off the menu due to being a fussy eater and it was kindly accommodated for by the manger who was very friendly and chatty, the food I received beat all my expectations and was delicious! This place is a hidden gem and felt great to be able to support a small business, we will definitely be returning soon! Thank you!

We liked everything. Room was clean. Bed extremely comfortable, blackout curtains a god send. Staff were very attentive and I personally loved the chilli and blood orange margarita from the bar Will definitely be staying here again.

Quite a find in Southsea
Excellent hotel - ideally located if you want to want to walk to visit various sites in Southsea. Rooms are lovely, bar very good, breakfast excellent, and staff absolutely superb. We found a parking meter around the corner and parked there using RinGo app - no problem whatsoever. Will definitely be staying there again as there's plenty of places to see in Southsea.
