Clean and friendly

Pros: Clean, quiet, friendly
Cons: softer towels
Location: airport, shopping
I am really picky about hotel cleanliness, and this one completely met my expectations. The staff was friendly, the halls were quiet, and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

You get what you pay for... toilet wouldn't flush, had to constantly re-attach flusher, a/c would only work an hour then turn off, maybe overheated. Cable tv would freeze multiple times. I will say that the complimentary breakfast was good.

Cons: Quieter late at night.
Location: I was in town to see my family (funeral.)
Clean and comfortable; a little pricy, though. I was only there 12 hours due to an early morning flight. Also, noisy at night when I needed sleep.

Great stay for the price

Stayed 2 nights. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and quiet. Free breakfast was a nice bonus. Waffles, cereal, donuts, bagels, and more. Much better than most free breakfasts! Location was great for exploring Portland by car. Took about 15 min to drive downtown on Burnside. Had a couple very minor gripes. The gym was pretty weak. There was also a lack of open electrical outlets in the room. I had to unplug/replug lamps and the microwave to make room for phone chargers etc. Overall we had a great stay for the price! This place is definitely dated, but gets the job done if you just need a no-frills kind of stay.

Cons: Honor their promise.
I was awoken at 6AM by couple kids running at the room above me. I called the front desk and asked if they could talk to the people upstair. The kids kept running all morning so I couldn't go back to sleep. Before I left, I spoke to the manger to complain about the noise. She promised me a partial refund for the inconvenience. She told me to call expedia to get it. Few days later I called expedia about the partial refund. They informed me that the hotel refused to give me any refund, because the manager that promised me does not have authorization to give any refund. If an employee promises something to a customer, the hotel needs to honor it. In the end, expedia gave me half of what I paid. The hotel still refused to refund me.

Outdated motel in need of maintenance.

Pros: Room maids did a good job with what they had to work with. Some of the towels were will worn, but clean.
Cons: Complete update and remodel. Enlarge the small crowed parking lot. We had to park on the street. Improve the breakfast quality and enlarge the smal
Location: Right by Interstate 205.
Booked on-line for a 12 night stay. Extremely disappointed. This motel is way below Ramada standards we have experienced in the past. Our daughter and son-in-law checked in at the same time for a 4 night stay. Treated as 2nd class citizen because of on-line booking. We were both given handicapped rooms that had a strange smell. We did not request handicap rooms. We checked with the desk clerk about the strange smell in our rooms and where told that only a few rooms were reserved for on-line bookings and no other rooms were available. She said she would check out the room smell. Never happed. This is an older motel with a present no smoking policy. The room smell may have been an attempt to cover up years of smoking in these rooms. The drapes in our room were old, torn and shredded. Present day Ramada standards? The toilet was broken (fixed the same day). Ramada would not honor reward points because we booked on line. Competitors do. The breakfast area was very small, and breakfast was poor quality. We generally ate across the street. The seats on the breakfast room chairs were filthy. Waffles could not be cut with a fork. When one shelf of yogurt ran out we were told there wasn't anymore. Generally had to asked for more when items when shelves were empty. I dare anyone to try one of the donuts (sawdust). One desk clerk, Kayla, was very rude and unhelpful. The price of soda varied with every desk clerk. Most charged $1-$1.25. Kayla charged $2.25.

Poor Ramada

At check in we Alerted staff about chemical smell in our room. It was over the too! Manager wouldn't even come to our room to smell it. It burned our eyes so we opened our window. she told us we got sub standard rooms because we didn't book directly through the hotel. Ratty curtains with big holes. Cleaning lady in the breakfast area seemed to work hard and was pleasant. Room was run down and not very clean despite the over powering smell of cleaning chemicals. Towels were so rough we left with abrasions on our skin--ha!
