Great location we would definitely stay again. Only downside was the floors were quiet Sandy. Play area has sand but we feel it wasn’t vacuumed very well after the last person. We need to use a towel to dust our feet off before getting into beds. Overall though a very beautiful place

It was Australia Day Weekend and the Band was Loud The Bed was Very Low but ok The Shower was small and the towel Rail fell off ( cheap ) access to the Basin was tight The Water was either too Hot or Not Hot Enough

A great stay as always, entertainment was excellent, can't beat the Perpetrators & Mick Jones great. Oil smells from the kitchen are a fair bit off putting, obviously old oil. But overall pretty nice & relaxing

Good clean accommodation
Clean but small room. Nice walking track just a minute away. The only thing is we didn't realise the music at the bar will be heard so loud in room.

Rooms are very clean and renovated recently, in a comfortable modern beach style. Roast chicken dinner, in the hotel, was delicious. Myall Lakes are directly across the road for the Ferry, boating or walking to admire the view.

Very friendly staff and a comfortable stay. The room was lovely and the hotel is situated just across from the riverwalk. The room was a bit overdeodorised, and yes we could hear other people moving about in the morning, but otherwise a pleasant nights stay.

Nice location by the water, decent sized and comfortable. Pet friendly and not too noisy considering there are bar, restaurant and children's play areas nearby.

Very noisy, kids bashing and crashing around till about 10pm then again before 7am. Also lots of road noise. Staff great, meals great, room was not huge but perfectly reasonable. (Weird that there are 3 mirrors in the room but none in bathroom) Noise is it’s only downfall.

*Would stay again being dog friendly, with a caveat - the true full prices in advance. Single room was a good size, consisting of a comfortable double bed and a single bed (we didnt use single bed). Heater/Air Conditioner. Very basic tea/coffee bench. Bathroom /shower/toilet room was super small. Our German Shepherd had ample room to stretch and relax. Close to amenities, walking tracks and river, staff were lovely, pleasant and accommodating. Option to buy dinner at the hotel. Fairly priced at NON-REFUNDABLE $151/night, with pets. HOWEVER Upon arrival there was an unexpected EXTRA $50/night per pet. This addition was NOT advertised on lastminute. com.au. Definitely NOT worth a total of $201.00 for ONE night BUT .... Once you've paid in full a non-refundable amount, arrive late and tired after driving all day, you have NO option but to pay. I brought it to the management's attention and put it in this review so others are aware PRIOR to booking - especially as it ISN'T REFUNDABLE.

Tea Gardens Hotel stay for 3 nights
The room was clean, modern and the bed very comfortable. We stayed 3nights.,There is no housekeeping if you stay more than one night; towels are changed and toilet cleaned daily; we had to ask for another bath mat and toilet paper. There was no change of bed sheets for our stay.,A toaster and microwave would have been handy. TV reception was unsatisfactory; couldn’t watch ‘Gladiator’ movie without static interference. The traffic outside our room was a bit noisy; it settled early morning. The manager was helpful when we asked for another bath mat and toilet paper; and request for another night stay.,the meals are nice and watching the Tim Tsyzu fight on large tv screen at pub Sunday afternoon was good.,we had noisy loud patrons next door to us Saturday night after the pub entertainment; they settled late night. Overall an enjoyable stay; lovely walks along the river and the best fish and chips from the ‘Hook and Cook’ shop down the street!

Pleasant stay. Bit loud as all rooms are very close. Food was average. I had a dish they call fish burrito. It was open and had no ingredients what burrito should have.

Over great stay
Overall great stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable that is including having our small dog with us, bistro and bar staff were friendly/welcoming, reception not so much. Food was decent and the portions are very generous. Location was very central to popular eateries and bay side walks in Tea gardens and only a few minutes drive to supermarkets and hawks nest beaches. Fair warning though walls are thin with connecting rooms and rooms are also situated around the outdoor dinning area with the kids playground and will be very noisy until closing time.

So Much To Like ....But ....
Fair value hotel. Nicely refurbed rooms with a white/navy/black nautical theme. Very fresh. Room and bathroom were small but well appointed. Great Location. Pub serves decent meals and its nice to sit out near the front windows of the pub and have views of the Myall River and boats. Friendly staff. There was a lot to like about Tea Gardens Hotel. However, 2 things which would stop me booking again is the really uncomfortable mattress on the bed, causing lost sleep and the children's organ type game installed in the playground right outside guests rooms. We love kids but hours of chimes and screaming at such close quarters ..... sometimes late into the evening is far from relaxing...... especially on the back of little sleep due to lumpy mattresses.

Right in the centre of Tea Gardens. We love how serene the Myall river right in front of the property and the hotel is a good place for dining and relaxing drink after a tiring day. We definitely enjoyed our stay, rooms are well renovated and spacious enough for 3people for the price we paid.

No doubt it’s recently renovated but has some pest problem in room and bistro dining areas, bathrooms were bit dirty some moulds around the shower plus no shampoo or conditioner in shower only couple of little soap positive points front of river can go for nice walk and nice food & drinks are available at the bistro
