An interesting experience! Going by the number of hi-vis vests, most guests of the hotel and all occupants of the surrounding city of on-site caravans seem to be permanent residents.
The on-site restaurant is more of a staff canteen, but the variety and freshness of food at dinner was impressive.
The Landing exceeded my expectations (I expected it to be not much more than staff quarters, but the hotel is nicely presented and clean). If you want a normal hotel, stay in town. But if you want to experience a little bit of the life of a local mine worker, this is the place!
