Hi Wendy, thanks for your belated review from your stay back in March. Post your stay and feedback on the mattress in that particular room you had left we have replaced the entire bed as well as mattress and it is beautiful and comfy now and has been for the past two months! We cant control the weather so if it was windy the night you stayed and it concerned you about the trees by the car park there isn't a lot to add except you did note correctly they have been pruned to avoid any issues. The property is 1.4km's from the middle of Port Fairy township so is very much in walking distance - around 15 minutes we say - but we also don't pronounce to be in the middle of Port Fairy as we have a slightly rural location and setting that can't be found in the town centre, (there are ample options if you choose to stay in Port Fairy again, perhaps just read the location and descriptions to find a better fit for your needs).
