We had four adults staying in a room for 2 nights and at no point did we feel like there wasn't enough space. The rooms are well kept, staff were friendly and helpful and the area was nice and quiet. It is a little out of town which only becomes an issue if you need to rely on Port Douglas' lack of public transport. If you have your own transport than it's a pretty quick trip.

Very friendly managers & made us feel very welcome as a family. Helped us work out a suitable car parking spot even when we had four mountain bikes on the back of our car. Would recommend & stay here again.

Being one of the original resort style set-ups its large and spacious although doesn't have the latest stuff. However, it's great value and is only let down by the air conditioning which struggled with the high humidity when we were there.

This executive suite was perfect for our short stay. We had lots of space and it was very quiet
We did not get any communication from the property prior to arrival. When we arrived, the front desk was closed but an envelope with our keys and info was on the counter. The manager on site was very accommodating and quick to answer questions for us. The room was lovely, pool was nice.

Pool was at a good temperature and was well laid out. The property overall is very tired. The room was not cleaned the entire time we were there. There was no toilet paper, we had to ask for it and got given one roll for the week. The parking area has poles in the area all painted black and of course I hit one at night and I wasn't the first person to do it. With some overdue maintenance the place would be lovely.

Close to Port Douglas main area but in the busy road. Walls are like cardboard and you can hear the shower in the next room as well as the clunking ceiling fan. You can also hear the person above your room walking around. Room had one window facing a wall. I felt like I was in a box. Place is a bit tired but clean and presents well. But if you want a good sleep without being woken by other guests then don’t stay here.

Our standard double rooms are our 'entry level' offering with limited facilities (there are no kitchen or laundry facilities) and are priced for the economically conscious traveller. These rooms are clean and comfortable for short stays. Our standard double room is recommended for guests simply looking for a place to rest and freshen-up after being out 'n' about exploring our wonderful region and experiencing the great local restaurants and cafes. Nice Boutique Property
Nice two bedroom apartment with a good pool and spa area. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating of all of our requests. Free WIFI would have been good!

Super comfortable all around. Great location, our room was actually rooms! Kitchen,lounge room,bedroom and a veranda with dinner table. Great barbecue area with nice pool as well. Highly recommended

The rooms need a lot of attention. Electrical faults in the two rooms we hired, and very worn fixtures and fittings in both rooms. Power points hang from the walls and wooden windows are so rotten, you can’t open them. Of the 8 of us traveling, not one found the beds comfortable. We took it turns to sleep on the couch they were so bad. The air conditioner in one room set off a fire alarm, filling the apartment with smoke, and the owner/manager accused us of burning plastic in the room (obviously whilst we slept!) When we turned off the air con, the smoke went away, but he refused to acknowledge that it could of been that. Only time we turned it on. Thankfully, Port Douglas is an awesome destination, so we refused to let it ruin our holiday - but we will never go back to the Mediterranean.

Room was large, pool was nice. No frills but clean. Basic, over-priced for what it is but that seems to be true of all Port Douglas hotels. OK for a couple of nights. Easy shuttle bus into Port Douglas centre.

Great place to stay at Port Douglas!
The stay was comfortable and the room features were what we expected. Overall, impressed with the room and a relaxing time at the place. Particularly liked that the kitchen was well equipped so great for families as well. Less than 5 minute ride to restaurants, bars, four mile beach and Coles.

Located outside of town centre
Property is on the main road in Port Douglas, a 20 to 30 minute walk or there are shuttles that you can flag down & they run every 15 to 20 mins. Pool area was very nice.

Meditaranean feel
We had a spacious two bed room appartment on the second floor with a kitchen and a roll-away bed in the lounge. The furniture and art work were all nicely matched with the meditarenean theme. It is close to the beach (300 m walk) and from the access point it was a pleasurable walk to Port Douglas. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook including a large fridge. The cleaniliness of the kitchen could have been better. There was only a small quantity of washing-powder, dish-liquid and toiletpaper; we had to get our own when used up. We had an isue with a fan, when prompted, it got fixed straight away; very good service. There was a washing machine and dryer in the unit; which was a real bonus.

Small boutique hotel.
our two bedroom apartment ( room 12) was lovely and nicely decorated with high ceilings. It has a nice central patio with an outdoor setting surrounded by tropical foliage. The kitchen was bigger than what we have at home and had everything that we needed. The apartment is quite a few years old (white appliances) however it was lovely and well maintained with louvered windows in that true north qld style. We only have a couple of minor complaints about our stay - no milk was supplied for tea and coffee - we arrived late in the afternoon and after checking in got ready to meet friends who where staying elsewhere - I got up in the morning to enjoy a peaceful and childfree cuppa to find NO MILK supplied... not even a small carton of long life.. The pillows in the bedrooms need replacing and felt like sleeping on bags of cement. Also, there are no screens on any of the sliding doors or windows, so essentially you are inviting mozzies and anything else inside. Only one roll of toilet paper supplied (no spare rolls in the cupboard) which ran out the morning that we checked out after using it sparingly. We found our host very helpful on check-in and provided us with a shuttle bus driver who could ferry us into town or anywhere else we needed to go for $3 each - quite reasonable and prompt too. Whilst there is a pool on site, it is not large, however the pool area neat and tidy.

Nice accommodations with a great layout in the rooms. Close to downtown Port Douglas for activities & food. Great restaurant suggestion from staff. Quick response time for needs. Have never had a requirement to do dishes! No elevator.room size

Nice apartment but not great
Lovely building and apartment was spacious and comfortable. Pros: nice decor, good living area with two tables one inside, one on balcony, fairly well appointed kitchen and laundry was good Cons: way too far away from beach and shops, you need a car to get anywhere. Pool was cold and even though it was spring, it was too cold for me to swim; kids didn't mind though. Tried to back out of stay two days in (with a finiancial hit) but owner wouldn't allow any change. No bath, ceiling in master bedroom had been fixed but unpainted and ugly, balcony was nice to have but it was an odd angle - like a little cave and unwelcoming. It was a decent stay but will it be staying there again

First time and would definitely return!
Stayed for 2 nights in August 2017. Terrific room - spacious and comfortable in every way. Stocked with the essentials including a pool, refrigerator, basic utensils, towels and clean bathroom. Parking was close and the facility was well maintained. Not too close to restaurants, but they are within a 5 min. drive (street parking in Port Douglas can be a challenge). Craig was very helpful.

With so many accomodation options available in Port Douglas, we really fluked this one. Private, tastefully decorated like a home and so much space in the apartment. Y own food and you never have to leave. The shuttle bus will take you into town for just $3. Only small downsize is paying for wifi and beach towel hire, but that is easily overseen by the friendliness of the owners.

good location but disappointing rooms
default room allocated was terrible, dirty, stinky and dated. After lot of arguments and 3 days, finally got shifted to a nice room. New room was big, clean, really nice and bright but still will not go back and not recommend to anyone because of miserable first 3 days AND Expedia was not much of a help either. Not worth of paying in FULL without seeing the room as few rooms are worth staying.

Fantastic spacious apartment
We loved our 5 night stay at The Mediterranean. we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious, modern and clean, which had a lovely balcony to have breakfast at and listen to the birds. The property is well maintained, staff very helpful and friendly, and the pool was great. This was my 2nd stay here. Short drive to Macrossan Street and easily walkable. Regular shuttle bus stop is close by which was perfect when we didn't want to walk or drive. Great value and spacious compared to other apartments we have stayed at.

Very spacious apartment out of town
My daughter and I booked a 2 bedroom executive apartment. We had a late check in and were put into a standard 2 bedroom apartment that was very noisy and not what we had booked. The blinds did not work and there was cobwebs on the walls. I spoke with reception in the morning and we were put into a very nice 2 bedroom executive apartment by 11.00 am. It was bright, spacious and clean.

dismal room disappointed
bathroom vanity sink had been badly cracked we werent told about this and basically should have been out of use for hygiene and safety should not have been give a room with a cracked sink bathroom door was off its hinges you were expected to wash dishes in bathroom sink this is unexeptable again not hygenic boil kettle in bathroom shower not cleaned properly ceiling fan didnt work properly tiny tv perched on fridge which hummed all night wardrobe turned into a cupboard with a few dishes very in adequate no table to eat at tiny room for the price no were to park our car as our spot was taken and staff unable to work out whos car it was we were given a set of keys not sure which room was ours on trying a door it opened a unit which apoeared to belong to someone wonder how they would feel knowing guests had access to their apartment on check out l was going to raise these issues but office was closed for the day not knowing what to do with keys picked up phone on being answered person at other end sounded as if l woke them uo the room was dismal musty and dark not worth the money at all tried the spa it was cold our stay very uncomfortable
