Don't get me wrong Shantara on the surface looks great , also close to town and shops restaurants, lovely massage faciliities (seperate ownership to resort)BUT they are not great at little things and some Major annoyances.
Major, the site is next to a worksite with constant noise from labourers, this was never communicated to us. This will disappear once site is finished but bloody didn't help us..
Major, access to deck chairs (4) with afternoon sun was only avaiable by creeping around pool deck. Gate access locked. There is a pool on other side with only 4 available with sun during the day, another few at BBQ end.
Major :paying good money my apartment was very small, shared deck big enough for only 1 sun chair for each apartment..This was advised
Major SUN - NONE at all to my apartment all DAY
Medium ; Again paying good money had to dispose of our own rubbish by walking 100 metres each BIN load down an elevator into a garage.
Customer Care ; Snantara refused to provide single beds, my partner had just had major surgery and needed a sperate BED, answer was room was too small. no good enough.
Cleaners : not their fault but they start at around 6.30 and noise travels
Noise from apartment above, constant movement early and late of tavles and chairs above also easily hear people walking above..
Summary : Shantara has the makings of a good resort but I personally wont be going there again.
