It was good except too much mosquitoes. Hotel ought to spray to keep them under control. Also entrance door with no light is very dangerous at night. Water pressure was weak; and water temperature are two big issues during my stay.

Over Christmas and New Years I stayed ten days at the resort. Despite it being fully booked, the resort was very understaffed which led to disorganized cleaning schedules (either at 7:00 in the morning or 5:00 in the afternoon), almost no drink menu (2) (although 30 options were listed on the menu board), a very minimalist menu (5 items only available until 6:00 pm), and seemingly overworked staff (2 in twenty four hours). However, prior reviews which mentioned no hot water or room kettles were incorrect. The rooms were lovely. The stay was wonderful. The staff were outgoing and courteous. The beach was well kept and the pool clean.

Location is good (however, most likely need to hire a scooter or get a taxi to most restaurants). Beach is pretty, pool is nice and breakfast was substantial. Service was average, beds are hard and mosquitoes prevalent at night (repellent is a must). No tv or phone in the room, this did not affect our stay but may be of interest to you. Be aware hot water is intermittent secondary to solar systems. Overall, a few areas for improvement, however reasonable value for money

It is a beautiful resort and the location is amazing to view the sunset. The facilities, rooms and amenities is well maintained. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!

We loved that the property was very relaxed and absolute beachfront, barefoot bar/restaurant on the beach, plenty of sun lounges, great pool, good breakfast included and plenty of other bar/dining options a short distance along the beach in either direction. Negatives were: extremely hard and uncomfortable bed, shower was virtually useless due to lack of water pressure. Mosquitoes had easy access to the room via the loosely fitting sliding door to the external bathroom. The other big negative was the plastic waste in the water and along the beach, nothing to do with the hotel of course but the floating debris in the ocean is disgusting and certainly lessens the enjoyment of swimming at the beach.

Thanh Kieu Beach Resort is a beautiful relaxing place surrounded by magnificent gardens and situated next to a super sandy beach. The swimming pool is appealing, clean and modern. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The facilities and the variety and standard of food is good. We had a lovely relaxing stay.

We had a very nice stay here. The beach was in good condition and plenty of chairs, towels, etc. Beautiful new pool. Friendly and helpful staff with a gracious manager named Kien. Our room was nice with very comfortable beds. Ceiling fan was not working, but the AC was adequate. I do wish to make one note about the outdoor style bathrooms. They are lovely but mosquito-filled. None of us could go in there without being swarmed. Additionally, the mosquitos would draft into the bedrooms before you could close the door after use. There were mosquito nettings over the beds, but we had to clear them of mosquitos every night. You have to get them all, which is met with limited success. For the outdoor bathroom reason ALONE we cannot return. If they could figure out a way to keep mosquitos out of there then we would be back to this otherwise nice resort.

The resort is amazing! Great private beach, among the best we have seen on the whole Long beach. The bungalows are surrounded by a nice garden, which is very well maintained. The whole resort is very peaceful. There is great infinity pool with warm water and jakuzzi right behind the beach with a view to the sea and the sunset. Staff is very kind. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby which serve delicious food. My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay at this place and would certainly come back.

5 star location 3 star hotel
This hotel is in a fantastic location with a great beach for swimming or just going for a walk. A new pool was just being finished but not yet open. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room air con wasn`t working but the staff arranged for a new unit to be installed on day 2. I stayed at the end of off season and the beachside bar & restaurant was closed which was a pity as the weather was great. This meant that I had most meals and all drinks at other locations of which there are plenty. The room had a comfortable bed, bar fridge and an old safe but not much else. No TV, intermittent WiFi and no kettle (get hot water thermos from restaurant). The bathrooms are outside which was interesting (keep door closed to keep mozzies out & cool air in. This hotel has great potential but is let down slightly by the room amenity. If you only use the room for sleeping then I would recommend.

Beautiful garden villas on the beach
We stayed in a two bedroom villa right on Long Beach. The villa was clean, very comfortable beds and quirky bathrooms with outdoor showers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We went to sleep with the sound of the rolling waves and woke up with them. The villlas are very private with beautiful gardens in between. We were literally 20 steps from the beach. They are currently building a pool overlooking the sea which will make this resort even better. If you are looking for a unique quiet small resort then I would highly recommend it.

I don’t have words to describe our stay here. Of course the beach bungalow, beautiful beach, gorgeous grounds, outdoor shower makes this place awesome. But there this place truly exceeds is the staff! From the minute we landed in Phu Quoc the staff has made sure everything was taken care. They welcomed us and we felt like part of the family. I got a little sick during our stay and the hotel manager made sure I had everything I needed to get better! Our kids loved it too! The breakfast that is included is outstanding and the option of renting motorbike was just pure joy! Thank thank thank you!!

Lovely garden leading beautiful beach
Probably one of the nicest parts of long beach is getting rather overdeveloped. Very friendly staff. Basic, clean bungalows set in stunning gardens. Not cheap for Vietnam but the location kind of makes it worth it.

Would love to stay here again!
Our 3-night stay at Thanh Kieu was the perfect end to our trip. Our bungalow felt comfortable and private, with an awesome outdoor bathroom. The private beach was in a great location and included beach chairs for use by guests only. The staff was wonderful and helped us book a motorbike rental and a boat tour to the An Thoi Islands. Great free breakfast, but the restaurant was a bit pricey otherwise (although it's to be expected directly on the beach). Would love to come back and stay here again!

just returned from 3 weeks at hotel thanu keiu, what a loverly place to be staff are lovely and polite rooms cleaned every day with clean bed linenen and towels, plenty of hot water, the gardens are immaculate, the staff all work very hard, breakfast is good plenty of options, also nice private beach with plenty of sun beds,this was our first time to vietnam and we have had a brilliant time, and would we go again yes definatley we would and would like to say thankyou to all staff and managent for all their hard work .thankyou .

What an amazing place, right at the beach, guests only. Great restaurant with good food fresh smoothies and all types of drinks. We loved the grilled fish from the bbq at the beach. All staff are very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located at walking distance of other restaurant bars and shops. Airport is just 15 minutes away Too Bad we had some cold and rainy days, which is rear in December. The showers use solar power to heat up the water, on these cold and rainy days we only had cold water at our bungalow. The hotel needs to put up more sun beds. There are not enough beds for all guests. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would recommend it if you want to enjoy beach time, also very suitable for families.

Great place!
We had a nice stay at Thanh Kieu. Bungalow are comfortable, and you sleep very well. The beach is great and clean. Breakfast is good. Unfortunatly, a few of non respectable guess will reserve a place on the best spot on the beach early in the morning and leave to go out in town for hours before coming back. For that, we wish hotel staff would do something about as this is unfair and unpleasent for other guess. This is the only thing that was an issu for us.

2nd stay, will stay again.
This was our second stay at the property, this time with with our young child. We stayed in a sea view room. The staff arranged a roll away bed for our child. There is no tv, but you will not miss it (we have our tv on all the time at home, but we did not miss it one bit). The bungalows are immediately on the beach, and there are ample lounges wuth cushions and free beach towels. Buffet breakfast is included in rate, and they provide both Asian and Western food. There is also a restaurant on site... however we found it a little expensive compared to other nearby restaurants. The property is an easy 10min walk into the centre of Duong Dong, and approx 5min drive from the airport. Overall we had a lovely stay, the staff are very friendly. I would recommend to Thanh Kieu to both couples and small families.

My boyfriend and I had a great time, we had a bungalow garden view for 2 nights and we enjoyed every minutes, the staff is really kind, area is amazing closed to the centre but at the same time you feel isolated from the business.

Bungalows are quaint, simple but clean, spacious and comfortable! Lovely setting and landscaping beautiful. Staff are friendly. Beach is nice too! If you like simple, clean and friendly - this is the place. If you expect the lap of luxury, not for you.

Beautiful beachside location, cute little cottages
Very quaint little spot on one of the best beaches of this island. Cheaper than many of the other spots, yet better location than most, I'd recommend staying here over anywhere else. I had a walk down the beach both directions and checked out the other beachfronts, and this one was equally as good as the others.

What a wonderful place
Loved every minute. The staff are brilliant, the location is perfect. There are luxury resorts all around which are double or triple the price, but by focusing on service and simplicity, Thanh Kieu wins out over all of them. Breakfast could use a little improvement, but it's pretty standard Vietnamese fare. I ate in the restaurant twice and it was excellent. The bungalows are simple, but charming, and the open bathroom is wonderful. Unlike places I've stayed in Mui Ne and Phan Tiet, the beach was nearly immaculate and the water lovely. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Phu Quoc. If you're prone to attracting a lot of Mosquito bites as me, be sure to stock up on protection as it can be difficult to find here. The bed has nets but I still got rather eaten alive!

Great gardens and beach access
Phu quoc is beautiful and Thanh Kieu was a great restort, being right on the beach and a 30minute walk to the night market (or $2 cab ride). Our room was spacious and well air conditioned, however the bed mattress was hard which made it difficult to sleep and the room wasn't well sealed making it easy for bugs to get in (e.g. window didn't close properly). Great choice if you like a very firm mattress.

Very nice beach hotel but..
The hotel itself is really lovely but once you are out of the hotel and not on the beach, the surroundings leave much to be desired. Not the hotel's fault - the whole Duong Dong area on the whole us overdeveloped in a rather haphazard manner.
