The location was a farmyard setting and very comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfy, we slept very well. The WiFi was excellent. The hostess was extremely friendly, we thought we were home! The breakfast was to die for as well. Strongly recommend this place for one or more nights.

Enjoyed being in a rural setting. The rooms were easily accessible to our car. The Lodge was also close to other amenities. It was clean and comfortable and the owner was very pleasant.

Julie was great. We were greeted in the driveway and given a quick tour. The accommodations were comfortable and the setting beautiful. We woke up to a delicious breakfast and given solid information on the area. I’d recommend it to friends.

Cats, Dogs, and Horses - Oh My!
Our host was quite accommodating, and balanced checking in with us and leaving us to explore on our own. The space was clean and affordable. As a bonus, we had several other hosts including dogs, cats, and horses! We had a lovely time, thank you!

Exquisite
The best part about this bed and breakfast were the owners! We were surprised by the breakfast menu- so many options! Once we made our selection, they went out and got the eggs from underneath the chickens and got to cooking. It was exquisite! The bed was super comfortable and the room was just perfect for us. It even had a sliding door to the driveway.

Good welcoming host. Comfortable beds. Lovely linen. Quiet location. Place in need of renovation. Guest lounge and kitchen only accessible from outside. Does not connect with the rooms. Guest lounge dark, cold and in need of serious attention. Kitchen provided with microwave oven etc. Breakfast ok - full choice not available. Place could be excellent with some renovation

We liked the Large rooms, deck area, breakfast. There was coffee and tea in the room and shower toiletries. The owners was attentive and helpful with referrals for dinner and directions.

A beautiful rural setting but still very convenient to Otorohanga and the glow worm caves. Large choice of breakfast options. Clean, spacious and comfortable room which provided everything we needed. A lovely spot for an early morning walk.

This was just a stop to sleep so we arrived pretty late and left pretty early but I wish we'd had more time to stay and enjoy the peaceful countryside. The room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and plentiful and our host was friendly and outgoing without being intrusive. Definitely would recommend staying here when headed to Waitomo cave.

Lovely room and excellent breakfast. Host very helpful and friendly. The location means that you need a car. Good location to visit Waitomo Caves and Natural Arch. Saw the Kiwis in Otorohanga Kiwi House.

You other home away from home
A quite place close to a number of Point-Of-Interests that are probably on your itinerary list anyway, A nice host ready to help, and a home cooked breakfast to get your ready to go for a full day of activities. Would stay there again and definitely recommend this place.

Relaxing Stay in Country
Very relaxing country atmosphere. Enjoyed watching sheep, cows and horse with 8 day old foal graze. Great breakfast. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Had many amenities to enjoy, such as spa, swim pool with current, and bicycles

Friendly Host and Quiet, Clean Accommodation
This accommodation is just a short drive from the town Centre and set in a quiet location. Julie met us just as she was leaving us a note. She explained everything we needed to know and showed us around the extensive facilities. This is everything a visitor needs, even to having an "honesty" fridge with drinks in. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had no need for our own pillows (which we take with us on our travels). The bedding was of the highest quality. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean with all toiletries you need. Apart from two fluffy towelling robes, there were two large towels, but only one hand towel, but as we were only there for one night this was not a problem. There is no blind at the bathroom/car park window and with the light on it could be embarrassing when using the toilet. This is only a tiny observation. The breakfast menu was extensive and when the cooked to order breakfast arrived it was excellent. My husband had an omelette and said it was to die for. We could not think of a more pleasant place to stay in the area and would not hesitate to go back or to recommend others to stay there.

Great B&B
Very well run and comfortable B&B. Large en suite; room includes comfortable bed, large flat screen TV, very comfortable leather two-seater couch; handy access to large fridge with optional (reasonably priced) beer and wine to purchase, or bring your own and leave it in the fridge. Excellent a la carte breakfast sets one up for the day!. Our hostess was welcoming and knowledgeable about the attractions and history of the area. She was also quite happy to call a restaurant of our choice in the nearby town and reserve a table for dinner for us. This B&B is in the country and pitch dark at night, and she had thoughtfully supplied a torch in the room to help those with an inclination to wander around We believe this to be is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in.

Home sweet home
A couple of days before arriving we were contacted giving us easy directions to the house as it is quite remote. House was thoughtfully set up and everything was thought of. Breakfast was good. Almost everything was home raised or home made. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Convenient to the Waitamo Glowworm Cave
This is a Bed & Breakfast with four units. It is quite far out in the countryside. However, with directions you can quickly get to the glow worm cave or the Otorohanga Kiwi House. There were a number of choices for the delicious cooked-to-order breakfast along with a variety of cereals.

Great B&B
