"This was our second time at Rick’s Place and we were not disappointed. We stayed on the property 3 days and explored the island other days but made a point to be back to see the gorgeous sunsets. Dolphins came by almost every day, and we even saw a shark. Dan is an amazing host and easy to deal with. We really enjoyed connecting our iPhones and playing Spotify through his stereo system. Nothing better than listening to your favorite tunes while enjoying the incredible views from the patio deck. The outdoor shower is so relaxing. We look forward to coming back for another relaxing vacation."

"This is the perfect place for a quiet family getaway. House has everything you could ask for with comfortable beds and pillows. Full kitchen with spices on hand. Game room and dvds on first floor. Incredible views from balcony and snorkeling sets, kayaks, boogie boards etc. Private, primitive snorkeling site that can be reached scrambling over lava rocks (stairs washed out)- Not for small kiddos or anyone needing assistance, but most people would have no problem, especially since it’s so private & lots of fish! Canoe launch and beach just down the road for others. There is with grocery store about 30 mins away and house is down a twisting hill, but remote location is ideal to get away from tourist locations and an incredible night time star viewing! Will be going back. Host is terrific and will answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend!!"

"We lived this property! The view cannot be beat! You can hear the waves crashing against the sea walls and it’s just magical! There is so much to explore just off site! Our kids had a blast exploring the lava sea cliffs and playing in the tide pools. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and safe. We enjoyed having our breakfasts and dinners out in the balcony and the kids loved the soak pool. I would absolutely stay here again!"

"Beautiful setting in the south Big Island lowlands. We explored the beaches and sights in wonderful solitude. HVNP Kahuku unfortunately was closed on our days in the area but the beaches were great. The Punaluu Bakery is soooo good. Can't miss."
