A very nice property as you would expect from Novotel. The room was clean & tidy & the grounds were immaculate. One thing we did find was that the room had a musty smell to it that only ever appeared after we had been out for the day. We also found that some of the facilities were a little tired. The pool table had broken cues, so made playing there a little harder, but manageable. The pools were amazing & we spent most of the day in the one at the beach.

The staff were incredibly attentive, always smiling and willing to help. They genuinely wanted us to have a great day/breakfast/holiday etc. The breakfast is fantastic, pools are lovely, just the right amount of restaurants, shops and massage salons in walking distance. Unfortunately kids can tend to take over the pools.

I have stayed in multiple resorts in bali and unfortunately this did not meet my expectations. Staff wasn't as friendly, i haven't finished my breakfast and my table was given away. All my room pillow cases either have a black stain mark or it's not changed ( it has a foul smell ). On top of that, on my first day of check in my room tap / shower water was off. Once they turned it back on the water was completely brown for hours.

The hotel was clean, well decorated with friendly and welcoming staff. Location was good but hotel needs to promote dining options more, and perhaps introduce 'happy hours' to encourage guests to dine in tbe hotel. Overall a good option for a stay in Bali.

Amazing Memories
We travelled as a party of 5, 3 adults & 2 children (7 & 5). We stayed from the 27th December to the 10th January. What an amazing hotel & holiday. The rooms are just like the pictures and the place is even more amazing in real life. We always had plenty to do as the hotel has lots to offer. The swimming pools were great and not to crowded which was lovely. No worry about sun beds as there is plentiful. We booked to attend the "New Years Eve Party (Hogmanay for us Scots). This was am amazing package and the entertainment from start to finish was worth every penny. We definitely started the new year off with a bang. All the staff were kind, friendly and very helpful, which makes this hotel definitely 5 star to us. We will definitely be back again, once we have saved up for the flights :) :)

Great hotel, but check-in is truly abysmal
We really love this place, and would always choose to stay here for a few nights whenever we come to Bali. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is chill, it's close to lots of beach activities and has a wonderful pool for kids of all ages. A really nice place to stay. But, all that comes at a cost. Checking in at this hotel is always, always terrible. Worse than terrible. They have, at various different times: completely lost our reservation, totally forgotten to pick us up from the airport, and refused the included breakfast for one kid in our party but not the others. There is always confusion between the hotel and the online booking sites as to whether you actually have a reservation, and if you don't bring your own paperwork to check in, you are in real trouble. We tried actually phoning the hotel from Australia before arriving this last time and it didn't help one bit. Also, it seems they have very weird rules at different times for when someone is a child or an adult. To book a room, it's 18. For included breakfast, it's 17. For dinner, I think it's 15. Unless it's a buffet, then I think it's 13. There is no consistency or reason involved here; it's entirely arbitrary. Just choosing "breakfasts included" for your online booking will not work. We usually expect to spend an hour just checking in. It's seriously awful. But after all that, it really is a lovely place to stay. Just budget a couple of days to recover.

The staff and the service in the hotel was amazing. Everyone very kind and helpful, prompt to any needs. All the amenities well looked after. Clean room, pool. Very good food, specially breakfast. Good options to eat in as well. Just a little expensive which makes you consider having dinner outside the hotel. Not ideal when you have kids. The hotel lacks room with comfortable beds for children and infants. A family of 4 if not allocated on the bigger rooms will have to share the bed with a child. Kids pool is very shallow .40mts and bigger pools over 1.20mts, so bigger children must have inflatable toys and be supervised. I’d definitely return though considering location and facilities. Walk distance from many restaurants, supermarket and easy location for cheap transport.

No beach access as claimed in the pictures
The check in was hard, it took for ever for someone to check in. We waited for almost 30 minutes to check in!! The biggest shock that came was on reaching the rooms!! This hotel was booked for it is beach view and direct access. But when we reached the room we were in for a ruse shock. The entire rooms are on the other side of the side with absolutely no beach access or view. We had 3 rooms, in two rooms the air conditioning was even functional. It took 20 calls and 4 hours for these guys to change rooms. The toilet in the rooms were filthy, The linen were old and soiled. No towels. When we asked for the duty manager, the guy never bothered to come online but sent a some crony. Only when we threatened to leave and demanded a full refund did they acted but it took them over 4 hours!! Hotels.com is useless when it comes to handling these situations. Makepmytrip or other portal act quickly as they have a working and efficient call center / hepline

There are so many things I love about this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, the location right on the beach, the lovely open air Coco's bar restaurant.....but I have to say this trip was not a good experience and at this stage I don't think we will return (have stayed 5 times previously). We travelled in a group of 4 and all of us were very sick with Bali belly (I also got a parasite infection) it seemed that every second person at the hotel was sick with diarrhea /and or vomiting? Staff couldn't have been nicer, noticed the water bottles were all changed from glass to screw top plastic, maybe a problem with the drinking water? The lap pool very hot to swim, had issues with noisy air con in two rooms. I think management need to spend some money on this hotel. Everything is hugely expensive to eat and drink (Aus prices plus). Very sad to write this honest review as I love the staff here but in need of some drastic changes.

Room is ancient. Could either charge phone or use the bedside lamp. Exposed wiring around the plug points. Food was bland and had to send back inedible dishes a couple of times. Staff were great though and did the best they can. This hotel is branded Novotel and supposedly over 4 stars but falls well short.

We stayed here (family of four - kids 12 and 9) in October school holidays in one of the villas. The Villa had ample space to spread out, kids loved the cabana, private pool and fish pond. The villa was spotless, very well maintained and very clean (good job Swari!). We had fresh fruit, fruit juice and local delicatessen brought to us daily. Sheets were turned down nightly and fresh flowers spread on the beds. The beachside pool is great ('penida'), with daily activities taking place such as aqua-aerobics, scuba lessons etc. The private beach is kept immaculate. There are kayaks and SUPs for guest use, as well as snorkelling kits. There are two other pools in the complex, one is the quiet pool for relaxing away from kids, and the other is the Croco-Kiss pool that has a swim up bar (my kids loved getting the Oreo Milkshake from here). There is a tennis court which is also used for archery and futsal comps. I used the hotel gym, which is sufficient, and there is a well stocked spa. The breakfast is fantastic, something for everyone, and the view out to the ocean over morning coffee is just splendid. The hotel restaurant is good, we had a few meals there, it's equal to Australian prices, but it is easy to slip over the road to Lunar or similar where great meal and drinks for four is around $40 AUD. No hesitation in recommending and we look forward to returning.

Absolutely loved staying here, we had a beach cabana and it was stunning. The view was great of the sea. Breakfast was great also and a very nice touch was the activities that were available for everyone to join on. Beach bar had some nice food and drinks. good location for walking to restaurants also.

It was a fabulous stay, great quiet location family friendly, the staff couldn’t of done more to make us feel so welcome. Plenty of daily activities for all to do.
