Putra was fantastic throughout our 4 night stay, friendly with good english. This hotel is located up a small rd, past a cow, chicken, some wild dogs and a dirt road. Our very first taxi said he had last taken guest to this hotel 10 years ago! Most other taxi's didn't know the way so we said it was between mini mart and same same map restaurant off the main highway. The printed map provided by the hotel is very small and blurry. The hotel's own shuttle is reasonably priced. We stayed in room 101 which has the cliff edge (definitely worth it) which has nothing to obstruct the wide views unlike 105 that mainly sees roofs. rm 101 is a fair way from any views of the water but you can see the farm below which mainly consists of 5 dogs a rooster (which will wake you up) and a few houses here and there, cacao trees. Rained most mornings so never caught the sunrise but the sunsets were beautiful. Having a private pool was amazing! The cabana had ants on it too often so I never stayed for more than a few minutes. I know the housekeeping staff sweep it but ants will be ants. The pillows, bed and linen were nice and soft, although some of the pillow cases have started to fray at the edges; clean none the less. Good strong wifi in 101. Decor is nothing to rage about, lamp shades need to be washed or replaced in 101. 105 better decor. never experienced "outdoor bathroom" before - not sure it is for us because it's hot out there with no aircon with strong incense (to keep away bugs?)
