Upon arrival we had to look around for the safe to get the room key from. We were on the top floor and there is no lift so had to drag heavy bags up stairs. The walls in the room are thin and you can hear the people next door talking, going to the toilet and showering. The town clock is also nearby so it chimes loudly every hour throughout the night. The bathroom was quite nice however oddly there were no hand towels. Not terrible, but not ideal.

It was quiet and quite close to town so I could walk around and enjoy the sights. I really enjoyed the monkey sighting at the park nearby as well. That being said I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. Room was also very clean and welcoming. Can’t wait to return.

This is a budget quality motel. There is no reception, no restaurant on site, no toiletries, no face-washer, no rubbish bin in the bathroom. The bathroom door wouldn’t latch and kept sliding open. The wifi worked intermittently. The room was not serviced during our two-night stay. The electrical tag and testing is well-overdue. On the plus side, self-checkin was easy. it’s well-located being opposite the park, though that does come with some traffic noise. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to park outside your room.

Overall reasonable value, but some cleaning issues
The overall condition of the property is ok. The rooms are well maintained, but there was issues with cleanliness. The operators are obviously trying to keep costs down by transitioning to a front desk free operation, which is ok, but perhaps this results in a lack of someone to keep an eye on things (like the work of cleaning staff). The main issue was a giant clump of hair in and around the shower drain, not just on the surface but also well down into the drain beneath. It obviously hadn't been cleaned out for quite some time. We cleaned it out, just to not feel queasy when looking down in the shower. Not a guests job.
