What a wonderful place!
This is an amazing house with very responsive and kind hosts. We had a rare opportunity to rent the whole house for our group over the New Year. What a great vacation it was! It was 11 of us with a toddlers and 4 kids. Everyone had plenty to do, there are a lot of games to play. Location is fantastic, surrounded by mountains. Views are to die for. Also it is just 5 min away from the Center of Scotland stone. Grateful for Robert, Ian and Jo. You guys are amazing! Thank you for opening your doors to us!

Delightful!
The house is fantastic and very comfortable, and reasonably priced considering the luxury you're getting. Apart from some dishes that were not quite squeaky clean, everything was clean and tidy . Very well equipped kitchen. Communication was a bit problematic, which may be partly Home away's "fault". My messages to the owners did not get through / were not replied to. The phone number provided was wrong: it was the neighbour's (castle), who weren't too pleased. There are still people woho can't download apps . A folder with all info available on the app on paper would have been very welcome. Clear directions and the door code sent by email would have been great too (you never know whether customers read that app or not...) We are very grateful to the previous owner, who happened to find us when we were lost, guided us to the house and showed us round. A big thank you to him!

Wonderful family property for our group of 8 adults, 4 children. Off the highway in a beautiful country setting central to our activities (right at the “center of Scotland”). Fantastic kitchen with everything we needed. Unfortunate lightning strike in neighbourhood put wifi out for first couple days. restored, however “theatre” remained out which was unfortunate only because we romanticized our evenings watching Braveheart, Outlaw King, etc. Neighbour (owner’s parents) were very friendly and helpful getting things right. Highly recommend this wonderful place.

Surpasses its description
Our family had an amazing time here. The house is perfect for a large group: spacious enough that smaller numbers of us could hang out separately and not be on top of each other but with big enough rooms to accommodate all 12 without it ever seeming crowded. Very comfortably furnished too - the Aga was always a joy to come home to, as was freshly-baked bread from the bread machine. The setting can't be beaten either - the loop walk from the house along the river and through Glentruim woods has some spectacular vistas - it was also an easy drive to places like Aviemore and Pitlochry when we went further afield. The hosts are lovely people - long-time locals who couldn't have been more generous in sharing tips and recommendations: be sure to get directions to Loch Laggan and to let them know if you have any interest in traditional music; you'll be in for a treat. We've rented quite a few places for family gatherings over the years and I'd have to rank this one at or near the very top - I can't recommend it highly enough and would have no hesitation in going back again and again.

Such a great house and wonderful neighbours. Loads of choices for days out adults and kids alike. We made so many happy memories. Highly recommend, everything provided. I didn't even need to bring any kids toys literally everything is already there!! We shall be returning again, loved it!

Comfortable, well proportioned house with excellent amenities in a rare and beautiful setting.
Superb! Thanks to Robert and Maria for all their communications in making this a wonderful trip. Our group of 8 enjoyed a 3 night stay over New Year's 2017/18. The directions are spot on and the place is easy to find. We were delighted with every room in the house which was to an exceptional high standard laid out with style and elegance. The wood burning stove was a joy and the seating areas in the lounge and adjoining conservatory easily accommodated all our relaxation needs. The large kitchen/ diner was very well equipped, just perfect for all our culinary needs and the 'Aga' became our friend. Beds were comfy and additional blankets were not used due to central heating in each room. All bathrooms were super clean with plenty hot water available throughout the day. The Utility/ Wash/ Boot Room, at separate porch entry, was a great addition - especially when coming back from long muddy walks. Each room provided a perfect view to the area's unique wilderness and the intermittent snow fall and starry nights added that extra sparkle. Kind Regards from all of us

Great house for a family Christmas
My family, 8 adults and 4 children, booked Glentrium to host Christmas. It proved to be a spacious well equipped home, in a peacful location with good views, wildlife (stoats, woodpeckers, red squirrels) and crucially nearby biking. Rustic enough to have character, but modern enough to be warm! Many thanks Robert.

A lovely large house in beautiful surroundings.
There were 12 of us staying here (youngest 13, oldest 80) and plenty of room for everybody to enjoy themselves. Dining in the kitchen was a bit cramped but friendly! We had a problem with the water supply but hopefully that is being sorted. Lots to do in the area, close to home and further afield. Altogether a most enjoyable holiday.
