Got a room facing the bay that allowed us watch sunset. The room was a little worn and the inner shower curtain was too long. The lady at the front desk said she will have it taken care.

The location is great! The hotel is old and dated but clean. Pillows were awful and heat in our room wasn’t working…front desk was unable to assist. Many other hotels in the same area. We will try someplace else next time.

The location is ideal. You are within walking distance of all the wharfs nearby, while additional significant attractions are only about a five to ten-minute drive away. Such as the Tennis Hall of Fame and the Cliff Walk.

The location was excellent for our needs. I did not like the bed. It was only a full sized bed and was not comfortable for two adults. You could feel every movement the other person made and was not conducive to a good night's sleep.

The hotel is old and it shows. The rooms are quaint and the views are terrific. Location location location. However, the room and bathroom was outdated and in need of a refresh. The bar/restaurant was not open on a Friday night at 8:00 so that was a little annoying after a long travel day. Breakfast is not complimentary and the limited offerings were just ok. I was there for only one evening and it was fine. Location is everything in Newport and the hotel was perfectly in the heart of downtown. Staff was very friendly.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay over the long weekend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose it due to its location in downtown Newport and accessibility to dining and shops, and it didn’t disappoint. We knew it wasn’t going to be the most luxurious accommodations. However, the room, especially the bathroom, and in particular the bathtub needs updating. The shower curtain hanging so low into the tub felt unhygienic and unsafe, as a potential slip and fall. The mattresses could use replacing as well. None of this detracted from our stay and overall experience.

They offer you a free drink cards and then charge you a fee called overnight charge for $35. and say it is for salt pool and free drinks. They didn't tell me about salt pool when I came in.
