The room was great, clean and modern, however the foyer and stairs leading up to the rooms have a very strong odour of mould and damp. For the price though I would stay again Helena.

the property for me was convenient to the pain clinic and to the Hamilton day surgery the staff was very helpful and the rooms very well kept

Worst accomodation I’ve ever stayed in, it was a horrible experience. There was quite a bit of blood on my bedsheets, which I immediately brought to their attention. The staff member I spoke to was apologetic, however I overheard the other staff having a laugh about my experience behind the bar. When I returned to the room after they’d “fixed” the bed, they had simply taken off the dirty sheet and put all the others back on. They were unable to give me either a new room or a refund, I had no option but to go to Kmart and buy my own bedding to feel somewhat clean for the night. The rest of the room wasn’t any better, clearly hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. Would not recommend this place, terrible service and hygiene.

Three main negative things were: -Room smelt of cigarettes/ ash -Air con was broken and wouldn’t turn off or change temperature -Shower/toilet had visible mold on the ceiling and overall condition was terrible.

There was NO hot water when I went to get a shower in the morning. I waited, thinking it was just taking a while, but no hot water came through. There was also a gap between the glass and the window frame, which allowed noise in from the hotel garden below. Really, both of these things mean I would not return. It's a pity because the room was clean and comfortable but you need a good night's sleep and a hot shower in the morning. These things weren't possible.

Excellent location with good service
The hotel is in a fantastic location. We really wanted a pub meal and that was just downstairs. Great food and fantastic bar service. Check in was quick and helpful and attentive. Just across the road is a Coles express for convenient shopping and petrol.

The description on hotels.com was a bit deceiving, it said private bathroom, this was not the case. The door inside the room was filthy dirty, and when I moved the bed to get to the power point the carpet was also filthy dirty. There was some blinds missing on the door/window which lead to a shared balcony so that was stressful and the toilet was, well, gross.

Mistakenly booked room with shared bathroom facilities. Bathroom could do with a good clean. Bedroom cramped, bed hard, vertical curtains missing panels letting in outside light across ceiling and wall resulting in poor sleep. Towels,Sheets clean , soft . People helpful

Room was good little expensive for what was there but it would have been nice to have small table and chairs as there was room for one also a extra blanket especially in winter also somewhere to hang towels to dry or even throw in a free drink/coffee deal from the bistro on a arrival over all it was convenient for where we had to go

Thieves
THIEVES return our money ! The hotel agreed to let us checkin outside of normal hours, we arrived with our 1 yr old, 2 yr old and 4yr old and had to call text and knock with no one answering, they've then gone on to take our money !!! BEWARE I recommend anywhere but here based on our experience !

small but clean and recently renovated.
the room was small but clean and looked recently updated. the staff were great, we first were shown to a room without a private bathroom but we had booked this hotel so we didn't have to share. as soon as we told the staff they sorted it for us straight away event though the hotel was booked out. the location was close to where we were going and only a short taxi ride to everything. the only thing i could fault was there were no face washers and no hand soap. i would stay here again. free wifi but had to park on the street
