This was more of a party hotel than I realized. It gave me Vegas vibes with the built in nightclub and DJ in the lobby. It would be a good spot for something like a bachelorette party, but I wasn’t a fan for just a chill weekend. It was so loud! Not just in the lobby, but in the hallways. Lots of drinks people. There was even a fight that erupted in the hallway next to my door around 2:30am that lasted for a good 20 minutes with hotel staff involved. They handled it very well, it’s just the style of patrons for this hotel and the nature of the reason why they’re there. As far as rooms go, the bed was very comfortable and it has nice amenities! I do think the property needs some more upkeep though. There are a lot of things sloppily done, like the ceiling lights that were partially painted on and the fact that there wasn’t a handle on the bathroom door, just a hole. That was weird. You get what you pay for. That being said, the staff was nice and the room was comfy enough. If you’re doing NYC on a budget this isn’t a bad option.

Stayed for a long weekend. Was able to get into our room a few hours early without even having to ask. Connected cafe and restaurant were convenient. Club in building did not bother us. Staff held our luggage at check out so we could shop without our bags. Close to train stations too. I’d stay here again!

This property focuses on providing a club/discotheque vibe. I was given a room on the 11th floor literally right under a club that plays music until 4:00 am. I could literally feel the base in my room. If you want a good night's rest and can't sleep through loud music, then make sure you get a room on floors 4-7. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

This is a really cool hotel for young people. Very live around the area, hotel has a club and about 2-3 restaurants and a cafe. Only thing I would say is parking is really hard even with a garage right across the street because of the amount of people going to the clubs/restaursnts.

Seriously not worth the price one bit. Staying in the hotel there was still a $150 min to go upstairs. Pool is outdoors, and not useable but still a major resort fee. Room was fine but nothing at all special.

This property is funky cool, loved the room, the location, the digital art gallery in the lobby was WOW. I read the reviews about the noise from the rooftop lounge. I was on the 9th floor and the BASE is real. Bring a noise machine to drown it out. Otherwise 5 stars.

Full disclosure. This hotel has a nightclub and is a very popular hotel for younger party crowd. So Thursday, Friday and Saturday after 10pm- 2am, be aware of the club crowds. Check in was easy, staff all very friendly and helpful. I requested to make sure our room was on lower floors (away from club). We were here for fashion week. The room design, decor & layout is pretty clever. We had view of the Empire State Building. The hallways were a bit noisy at night due to the partygoers and other young people living their best lives.(I turned on my background noise for bedtime). The location of this hotel is fantastic! Walk to Chelsea Market, Pier 57, or to 8th Ave easily to catch the A,C,E trains/subway. Very conveniently located. Lots of food option everywhere.

Property was clean, however a lot of room issues—our lights didn’t dim, shortage of outlets, VERY noisy (hardly any insulation seemingly), extremely uncomfortable bed and pillows so not a good nights sleep. Disappointing room for otherwise nice property and price.

I love this property, but was a bit disappointed that there was a large piece of carpet ripped up right at the bathroom entrance, and instead of replacing it, they glued it back down and it looked awful. I paid over $400, and at that rate I think the room should be impeccable. I honestly have no idea why hotels still use carpet. It’s just a Petri dish for dirt, allergens and bacteria!

The hotel adds a destination charge of $57 a night (Small print in Expedia buy process). Normally this is a charge for local taxes and such, and is very small. They use it as a tacky business strategy to make more money, when a more honest business would just advertise their honest rates. How low can you go?
