We were left unattended outside for more than 25 minutes during check in time. There was no body to open the door. Also definitely not accessible as no lifts are available so we had to carry the luggage by ourself. The rooms are so tiny and unhygienic

This property was good for what it was but still very expensive. The room is tiny and you can hear the street noise all night even on the 5th floor. Also there is NO elevator and we had to lug our suitcase up 5 flights of stairs.

Great location! Close to shopping and dining plus within walking distance of Times Square, Union Square and other sites. Room was tiny but clean. The bathroom was very clean and seemed new. It was a perfect place to rest at the end of a long day in the city.

It was a great place. We just needed a place to sleep safely and quietly. It delivered. We were out and about all the time. Not a place to hang out at the hotel. Smaller room and we had 5 flights or stairs to go back and forth. Over all pleasant place and staff was very friendly. Thank you.

This place is great if you need to spend the night at Manhattan. Place is small, but comfortable. If I could point something about the Inn I didn't really like was maybe the shared bath between another unit. Other than that, this place is clean, and smells good. Be ready to walk up the stairs. :) Rooms are perfect for a single person but can sleep 2 comfortably as well. Not a 5 Star Hotel but definitely worth an emergency stay.

The room was the perfect size for an overnight stay but the bed and the sheets were incredibly uncomfortable. Anytime any of us moved, it was loud and obnoxious. There is hardwood through the building which is beautiful but doesn’t give any sound barrier to traffic coming in/out of the other units or up/down the stairs. We brought a sound machine and it wasn’t enough.

Not the best, not the worst. A quaint, affordable place to stay close to good shopping and food. If you’ll be spending most of your time out enjoying the city you’ll have no problem with the Chelsea Inn.

Awesome for the price my first day I got in at 7 pm and decided to walk around. I walked around for an hour and I almost saw everything I needed to see in new york. Super close to everywhere and great bagel places around.

This was a great location for my visit to NYC. Easy to get in and out of the hotel even though it was staffless/contactless check in. The bathroom had several dead lightbulbs and it was a bit noisy (I could hear the person next to me cough) but I slept well and felt safe. I will definitely return!

Pros: -A good deal. -Clean -Polite staff that’s willing to accommodate -great area with a lot of stuff to do -close to transit Cons: -You are required to keep the temp 74 degrees (it gets hot and stuffy in the room) -The walls are very thin and you can hear drunkards in the lobby making noise on the weekends. I had to watch the volume of my voice in the room because I was worried people could hear me. These two things made it very difficult to sleep during my stay.

We had a very pleasant time during our stay and we loved the location - the hotel has a fantastic location for the price, and it was ideal for exploring Chelsea or accessing to subway to go up or down town and see other parts of the city. The room was also clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. If you’re not planning on spending much time in your hotel room, this is an ideal booking! We knew going in that the room would be small and mostly taken up by the bed but the issue ultimately was with the comfort in general, not the size - unfortunately the bed was awful. The mattress felt like sleeping on cardboard and seemed to dip in the middle. The bedding was thin and not warm. This maybe could have been bearable for one night, but night 2 and 3 were difficult. It was also very inconvenient that there’s no option to leave your bags with the front desk if you arrive early or need to kill time between checkout and travel plans.

Lovely room and bathroom and very nice, helpful staff. Problems with the mattress - it sinks in the middle, and the room backs onto an alleyway where people dispose of their refuse at all times of the night.

Excellent stay for quick overnight. Simple self check in and comfortable accommodations. Everything was clean with soap and towels provided. Bed was comfortable but a little noisy. Full control of temperature. Great jumping off point for sightseeing and exploration without the chaos of other sections of the city.

We had the room on the first floor and right next to the main entrance. We can hear the front door open and locking with every guest coming in and out thru the main entrance. The window in the room was facing the street and at the ground level. So we could also hear people talking and car driving past by. Everything in the room looked so cheap. We were told that room was used to be a staff room not a guest room since the condition is so bad. Do not stay with this place, no matter what.
