"The hotel reception is at the top floor with spectacular views of the city. It was a great location for sightseeing in the old town, especially since we were only staying one night and leaving by train in the morning. Waverley Station is across the street, so heading to our next destination was a breeze!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. It was a short walk to Waverley train station, Edinburgh bus station, and the Royal Mike. And the hop on-hop off buses were right outside if you wanted to take a tour. "

"Incredible stay. From having my bags delivered to my room while I was out to the yoga mat, instructions on how to use appliances and even a noise machine - they think of everything. Such a great experience, would definitely recommend hotel and location! The only small point is that there is an active restaurant next door that stays open late. The windows block almost all of the noise but could not have windows open at night. Not a knock on the hotel, just something to keep in mind!"

"I can't say enough good things about The George. After falling in love with Edinburgh last year, we returned to the city and the hotel who made our stay extra special. The staff it wonderful and truly make you feel like you're home - whether they wish you a good day or welcome you back after a long day of walking up and down hills. We were greeted with smiles at every turn. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely room that looked up to the castle. Great showers, great room amenities, and cozy beds. We plan to return next year!!!"
