We have already shared this listing with friends and would stay again at this beautiful home away from home! We loved this location for our family of four. It was away from the crowds and noise for a true NOLA resident/neighborhood experience, but had easy access to RTA lines to go anywhere we needed. It is just a short walk to the St. Charles Streetcar line and a slightly longer walk (but very doable) to Magazine and it’s boutique shops, local restaurants, chain store grocery, and RTA bus line. We enjoyed taking different walk routes just to take in the views along the beautiful, quiet streets!
The historic home house is charming and simply beautiful. 3-star rating for the listing description due to views/surroundings and upstairs apt tenant. (Separate entrance and never seen, but unexpected and put this mama on high alert with night noises.) The front porch faces a legendary family-owned grocery store/parking lot (that became our favorite pit stop for staples and freshly made deli/catering treats) and the side view is a cemetery. But the backyard is a delightful private oasis.
3-star cleanliness rating due to several broken furniture pieces and a few things that were not working, but communication with Stephen was excellent and very much appreciated. Thank you, Stephen, for sharing your home for a delightful NOLA experience!
