"I had a wonderful stay. I loved the staff and breakfast. The hotel is beautiful. It was very clean. It is an old historic building and a few things were a little in disrepair but I learned how difficult it is to get anything in Cuba, like materials. I enjoyed several meals at the restaurant across the street and they were good. There were other choices nearby but the streets are dark and lonely in this neighborhood. Also, I never had a problem taking a taxi into Old Havana but trying to get back can be challenging and expensive. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. The staff went above and beyond and I appreciated all of them! "

"This is a small hotel that is very close to most of the main attractions in old Havana. It is clean and quiet, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I think it is a family running the place. It is completely walkable to everywhere I wanted to go. The only things I could find to mention that were less than perfect was the wifi access, though that seems to be a problem throughout the country, so I certainly can not blame the hotel for that. And there was internet, it is just slow and a bit glitchy, but certainly workable so long as you are patient. Also, the restaurant on site seems nice, though I thought it was a bit expensive, so I chose to eat in the other places near by. Havana has no shortage of restaurants, and good food costs good money, but it was just a bit more than I was hoping to spend on this trip. That is not a criticism, just an observation. If I was back in Havana in the future I would not hesitate to stay here again."

"Excellent stay in the Vedado area. The building looks shabby from outside but it's excellent inside. The four of us stayed in the main suite (two bedrooms and one bathroom) on the second floor. There were one king size bed and two twin beds. Bathroom was new and clean. Hot water was strong. The breakfasts were excellent with juice, fruits, omelet, bread and coffee. Internet was good and we could view photos and short videos with relative ease, which is not always the case in Cuba. Rene or other ones in the management team were always on site to help. Thanks for the worry-free stay!"

"What makes Vapor 156 so special is the staff. Everyone was so accommodating and professional. Their care and recommendations were exceptional. The hotel being 100 years old next year was really cool. The memorabilia was dated to that era. We had a team of seven and everyone felt that they were the one getting special care. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. There was some added services that the staff did for us because they wanted to. When we leaving our last day there was hugs and photos. I would highly recommended Vapor 156 and we will be back. "
