Enjoyed our basic stay for the price point. You can hear noise from the hallways (if you have loud neighbours this can be troublesome), but it is basic and clean. Easy check in / out. Close to Bixi station and other Transportation hubs. Has a Keurig with coffee/tea, and a fridge.

Very nice and a good price, super walkable and close to the metro too. Underground parking was easy and cheap ($11) just a slight walk around the corner to the hotel. Very clean and quiet, only complaint is the toilet was a little loose.

Room was nice, soft linens. Common areas were nice, staff kind and helpful. A bit loud while in room, can clearly hear people talking at normal levels in hallways or nearby rooms. Would suggest some soundproofing around doors or insulating. Otherwise all ways great.

Location is very convinient for exploring Montreal, steps from commercial streets and a couple of blocks from metro station. At night you can run into a not so desireable crowd. The hotel is basic, with almost no amenities, but a very good option for the cost. We had some trouble with the shower, with sudden bursts of cold water and running water stopping altogether for some seconds. Also, had a problem with sink not working properly.

It's very difficult to find an affordable hotel in a city like Montreal that is also located in the the downtown core. Hotel Saint-Denis fits the bill being two blocks from a Metro station and within walking distance of the old city and all major attractions. Having a single serve coffee maker in the room is also a nice touch. If you're a no frills traveler like me, Hotel Saint-Denis should be on your list of accommodation options when travelling to Montreal.

Everything was fine. Location is excellent for access to theatre and Ste-Catherine. Nothing about the hotel is exceptional, very much a 3 star hotel.

In a safe, studenty neighborhood. The staff were helpful (thanks for bringing up the coffeemaker!) and the location was very convenient. The room got a bit hot, but we could open the window, so all was well.

It was clean and quiet. The king size bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We were close to the CHUM hospital, our reason for booking. Also close enough to walk to Ste-Catherine. On the downside, the parking is not so practical, is around the corner. No access from inside the building. No food available, only coffee. Overall, good. Would book again.
