A very nice property, you can hear and see the ocean from the 2nd floor. Property was under construction, so there was no maid services or front desk staff after check in. We are laid back and self reliant but that was an issue. Plus they were very respectful but construction makes noise. Beds were nice and enjoyed the shower. Will give another shot when renovations are complete

As much as we enjoyed staying here I will never book through this website again. The hotel rate was 100 dollars a night cheaper.

A wonderful relaxing stay in Montauk
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Sole East. Loved this it was dog friendly. The front desk was super friendly and helpful during our stay. Thomas at the front desk reception is a rock star! We will return again.

Already paid in full but upon check in they added another $45. fee. They said it’s for using their other hotel’s pool and bikes. We said we have no intention of going there and if we wanted their amenities we would have booked there. Refused to refund! Also the water temperature in the shower was horrible, went from warm to scolding hot,very dangerous!!

An absolute dive advertised as fancy. They had black abd white pillows and a modern sink and thinn they can charge ridiculous rates. There was sand and hair in our bed. Their was no one at the counter at check out time and they charged us for late check out. An absolute dive joke.

I am originally from LA and went for vacation to Hampton. Me and my son had an amazing experience in east sole resort. Great place , fun, absolutely amazing staff. We felt home truly did. The last day I left mg cell in the Uber.I still don’t know how to appraise all the staff care and help for finding mg phone. They all tried to call or locate mg phone I had 3 staff at the same time helping and all of a sudden I had Dave which later I realized he was the owner of the east sole was driving me around the town to fine the Uber so I can get my phone. I still don’t know how to appreciate that. Highly recommended oh and also the food was amazing :)

Steps from the beach Beds & pillows were quite comfortable & the bed linens were very nice quality Room was cleaned & ready for check in quickly Located a couple of short blocks from shopping & places to eat

The location is great can walk to town beach access across the street. blinds did not ,out side light cant shut off so you sleep in daylight bed was comfortable firm. shower floor nasty just run down overall

It had the essentials... this was our second time staying here, the bathrooms are nicely renovated, and beds were comfortable. Just be aware the rooms have rugs, the tv’s are teeny tiny, and my room did not have black out curtains. Again, it was still pleasant, just a few things to keep in mind.

We stayed at Sole by the beach which was a easy walk to the beach with kids and cooler in tow, no issues. Directly across the street. Then we drove 3 minutes to Sole East had a great lunch and enjoyed the pool. Best of both worlds

Plain Jane motel, one short block away from the beach... a (32 in) tv, mini fridge (no freezer), kuerig (single serve coffee maker), newly renovated BATHROOM only, the rest of the room is in it’s original design with white paint and ikea furniture (popcorn ceiling and all), and parking close to the room door. No iron, beach showers, on-site pool, or beach chairs provided for the beach (they do offer beach towels). The two front desk girls we spoke with were both friendly and checked us in and out quickly. The walls are paper thin, so I could hear our neighbors partying all night long (despite the 11pm - 7am quiet rule).. which is okay, summer is short and people have to have fun.. but if noise is bothersome for you, request an upper level to avoid hearing the commotion of the street and above neighbors. This motel is great if you literally need a last minute place to crash for the night in montauk, it’s clean and conveniently located in the downtown section of Montauk, near the beach. However, there are better motels/ inns nearby for the price they charge a night, but like in our case, if those are sold out, this one does the job.
