Very nice place. Rooms are renovated and modern. Pool is beautiful also newly renovated and nice grounds. We enjoyed the fire pits at night and the hotel is right across from the beach and you walk right into the village. We will definitely return!

Lovely service and rooms- the bathroom is open -only separated by a curtain (the toilet has separate door) so not much privacy for showers... the sink is in the common area- also the internet was open (unsecured) and did not work without agreeing to sign up for promotions

Nice place, but…
The location was good, the facility was nicely groomed and in nice condition. It was very clean too. However, it was super modern, tech this and tech that. We couldn’t figure out how to get the air on and the heat off. I don’t think the heat was on… but it was always warm in the unit. In addition, we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the tv… and the unit had no shelf or counter space at all. My wife kept saying it was minimalist… which I guess was true. Next time, I would try some place else.

Property was nice - we stayed mid August so it was a little worn. I’d be careful when booking RE view - the picture of the double Oceanside on Expedia had an unobstructed view while ours #26 looked directly in to the other building. To be fair there were oblique views to the ocean but when in the room you are confronted with the adjacent building. We were only staying 2 nights so didnt make a big deal of it. Otherwise everything was pretty enjoyable.

Cute beachy motel
The employees were very nice and accommodating. For a small beach motel, it was cozy and clean, beautifully decorated. You have to cross a street to get to the public beach, but it’s close. The pool is clean and east to access. The lawn area is really nice with the fire pits, and if you like smores, this is the place for you.

This hotel has a fabulous upscale bohemian vibe. The decor is wonderful, boutique style, and very serene. There is a terrific pool and perfect beach front with onsite chair, umbrella ,and towel service, as well as food and drinks. The rooms are done very well and have everything you need.

Poor condition below average service no amenities
A number of issues for a 1300/night stay. Way overpriced for what you get. No cleaning service for 4 nights / 5 days. There was no heating in the hotel (not sure if that's legal), but they did provide a space heater. The bar / cafe did not have any food, breakfast ran out of coffee, and the drinks were well tiny plastic cups. Not much seating on the beach - towels not readily available. A bit rude at check-in, as if we're an inconvenience trying to check into an exorbitantly expensive stay. Not a 4-5 star experience by a long shot.

Definitely a motel trying to create a trendy, hipster vibe. The location to town is excellent and the access to the beach is amazing. I have stayed in many places in Montauk and have paid similar prices. For what you actually get from this hotel, it is very overpriced. It seems as though they did a quick remodel of a very old property. The AC was not working properly when we arrived, and the staff was aware that several rooms had problems with the HVAC units. You cannot charge these prices for rooms with insufficient HVAC. They even provide portable heaters in a basket in the rooms, obviously problems with the heat too. Tiles in the bathrooms were loose and starting to lift up. This was just not the quality I was expecting for such an expensive motel. Bartender, maintenance gentleman and cleaning staff were excellent, as friendly as can be. However, the gentleman at the desk, upon our arrival, barely took notice of us and was not very friendly. It pains me to see these places that lack simple basics on running a business-treat your customers well! Remember that every customer has a choice and they chose your establishment. Never lose sight of that...because, people may come once, but they won't come back.

Love the hotel and location. Room was too small and hot. The AC unit was just not cooling the room. The bed was also too small for a couple. It was a full size bed. Also the check in was way too late. Our room was ready at 4:54PM.

Great location near the beach, room was clean and well designed. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN, I COULD HEAR THE CONVERSATION FROM NEXT DOOR. For this price, even in off season, I will have book somewhere else when I return.

I have stayed at the Hero Beach Club several times. I’m always happy with the experience. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are pleasant. Rates are decent in the offseason (which is when I typically stay at the property).

We loved Hero Beach Club! Quiet and relaxing, perfect location— close to beach and nearby shops/ restaurants! Staff was pleasant. Due to COVID19, they are unable to service the rooms daily but an appropriate precaution to protect staff and guests! Will return! Keep in mind there is no on-site food, staff only avail 7am-11pm. However, no issues.

Room had old food in it, ants and ac did not work. Also they charge a resort fee with half the amenities not being able to be used at this time. Disappointed in my stay.
