The hotel has a nice location and the property looks to be nicely kept. The room was clean and spacious. We did have a leak in our bathroom faucet that was a bit annoying. I am giving it 3 stars because the beds were not good. They were pretty small double beds and when we asked about moving to a king room, they said they only have one king room on property. Not only were the beds super small but they were cheap metal frames that creaked just by sitting on them…not sturdy at all. My husband is 6’5 and barely fit on the bed. I would definitely recommend upgrading the beds especially if they don’t have king rooms available.

Property was nice. Unfortunately there was a serious situation in the middle of the night with guests fighting which resulted in the police being there for 3 hours . My disappointment with the hotel is they didn’t have anyone at the property until the next morning and left guests fending for themselves during the situation.

Nice, clean place with a great lawn area to chill. It’s basic with no pool or hot tub, but it’s a short walk to the beach and a short drive to everything else. Staff is friendly and free coffee in the office is good.

Great little hotel getaway
Hotel is wonderful. Accessible to restaurants bars and beach. Rooms are newly dine over. Very clean best quiet atmosphere. Prices after labor are much more reasonable. Great for a few day get away will definitely be going back. Have stayed here many times over many years.

Wonderful Motel in Montauk
I LOVED my stay at the Sunset Beach Motel. First of all, I was stuck in traffic and arrived late... they stayed late so I would be able to check in that night... and refused my tip!!! The property was great... right near the water. Such a great location. If I had to have a complaint, it is that the toilet is in a separate space than the sink and shower so I had to walk across the hall to wash my hands. I will definitely be staying here when I'm in Montauk again!
