Suprisingly really nice!
Really liked this hotel. Room was small but really nice. Kitchen door went right out to patio area and the amazing beach. Were there in Oct for a wedding but will definitely book a long weekend next summer!

I was disappointed with the property, my room smelled like chlorine the entire time, caused quite a headache. In addition they enetered my room without permission. Also my neighbors next door kept knocking on my door asking for me to adjust the temperature because apparently all the rooms are on one line and i was the unfortunate controller of the line. I cant forget about the bed think it was from 1980 couldent sleep for 2 days. Have to say the beach was excellent and staff was friendly but unfortunately everything else was not.

Property is away from town on a quiet beach. Walk about 500 feet on the beach and you are now on State property without a soul nearby. In hindsight, I would have gotten a bigger room on the beach side of the hotel.

Great Short Family Stay
Pleased with our overnight stay at this venue and overall would recommend to other families. Some observations: the room(s) were smaller than expected, and front / rear doors did not have child locks. We have a 2 and 5 year old boys who liked to wonder out. The big bonus was the outside seating / bbq area on the beach side rear door. Unfortunately it was a short say so we did not make use of this area. However we were able to use the beach and resort pool which kept the boys very happy, dad busy and mom able to relax beach-side. Would consider staying here again.

Exactly what I wanted for a quick getaway to Montauk. I rented a studio that had its own patio, and I was basically on the beach! Beautiful area, just a few minutes away from Montauk and, of course, the eponymous lighthouse at The End of Long Island.

Great for 2 adults.
The place is great for 1 couple or couple with children. My reservation was 3 adults, requested 2 queen beds, got 1 king and a pullout. Pullout was uncomfortable, king bed was comfortable. Website needs to be clear on room accommodation. Otherwise, I will definitely be back - 2 adults only per room/unit.

We drove 11 hours to attend a fall wedding in Montauk. Our unit was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was located only steps from the beach and the area outside the back door was perfect for eating or just relaxing on lounge chairs. We may go back for a longer stay in the future.

Really nice place with great amenities
This place was amazing, clean room, with beautiful grounds. My only complains was the room circulation. For some reason the AC did not work well in our room and it made it tough to have a good night's rest. Everything else though, was super relaxing.

Very peaceful and easy place. Easy parking. Clean bright room with nice balcony and view. Easy one minute stroll to beach with convenient, complimentary beach chair, towels, and umbrella setup. Centrally located, clean pool with real deep end (10 ft), swings, basketball court, small playground, shuffleboard, and tennis courts. Had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay!

The Driftwood is a beautiful resort. Weve stayed in both the regulare rooms/suite, as well as in a cottage, and all the rooms are clean, fully stocked and updated. With the private pool and beach, with chair and umbrellas provided, as well as playground, basketball and tennis courts this makes for a great family vacation out in Montauk - or a romantic getaway. We love it here all year round!!!
