Terrible place to stay they had termites when me and my friend checked into our room. They were all over the bed , ceilings, and bed bugs as well. Thank god we found another hotel the most disgusting hotel !!!!!

Boutique hotel. Well maintained for its age. Not a 4-5 star modern hotel. This is a classic 90 years old South beach property, so set your expectations correctly. Friendly staff. Extremely convenient. One block to the beach. Convenient stores, coffee shops, and many restaurants within 2-10 minutes walk. We were there for two nights to board our cruise ship. No rental car, lots of walking for sightseeing, Uber when needed i.e. airport and cruise port.

Its art deco, boutique style was quite beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The staff were extremely professional, warm and welcoming, were very knowledgeable of the environs and were always eager to help and facilitate. I greatly enjoyed my stay there.

The Kent is pretty nice. The desk people were very friendly. As was the valet guy. The restaurant attached is one of the better ones around the area. Good food, good service. The room was pretty good. One bed was nice the other just ok. The air conditioner didn’t work too great. I pulled the filter out and it was really dirty so I cleaned it, didn’t help too much though. The sink was slow draining then, clogged. Didn’t ask them to clear it since we didn’t want a maintenance guy in the room taking up our time there. They could do a little more maintenance and cleaning for the price. It also smells like someone dropped a gallon of cologne all over the place, which is kind of gross to me. Overall, one of the better hotels on the area, and a great location.

Excellent location to Ocean Drive (right around corner a block to main strip). It was a nice retro style hotel and renovated. No view to be had though. Typical city hotel next to another building so no view. Room was very clean. The two chairs and side table should be replaced with a regular computer desk with outlets for computer hook-up and nice mirror on wall above. Not many outlets in room. No tables next to bed only a small ledge, which doesn’t give you a lot of room. The bathroom was very small and the tile work around the shower floor needed work as there was no caulk around base, open space. Lights in the bathroom were so dim. No counter or big enough ledge to place toiletries. Once in the shower at night, it’s so dark after shower curtain closes. No exhaust fan. More importantly the hot water is limited to one person taking a shower. After that you don’t have hot water. Valet parking is $35 per day but may be limited to the size vehicle you have. We had a Silverado truck and they couldn’t park it, so we had to find other parking. Luckily, we were able to find a municipal parking garage quickly two blocks up the street that had parking for $20 per day. The front desk staff Anthony amazing, Angel & Josh were very helpful. There’s a restaurant attached to hotel, and discounted breakfast. I think coffee at a minimum should be free at all times (only free with meal). We didn’t have lunch/dinner so don’t know if these meals are discounted. Overall nice!
