There was mold on the bathroom walls, the windows were so filthy to the point that we could barely see out of them. The vent had broken sections and blew cold air directly onto one of the beds making it uncomfortable whether the air was on or off. The toilet paper dispenser was completely breaking off of the wall. The prong was broken to connect one of the outlets at the nightstand so we couldn’t even use it and had to keep our phones across the room and slide other furniture away from the wall to have one. One of the two elevators was out of order for the entirety of our stay. Completely lacking in the most basic areas for a functional place to stay.

Pay for the view
Check in was terrible, staff were unfriendly and reservations weren't ready and there's no slef parking. So, when we had to wait for reservation there was a limit of 15 minutes in valet until your ticketed. We had to leave luggage, go park somewhere for 20 minutes. Pool closes early. You get a gree drink was told to 10 was actually 10, thankfully bar staff was kind enough to accommodate. View spectacular. Room comfortable.

Everything was great except the staff at the desk would not answer the phone even though no one was at the desk being helped. Our TV didn’t work the first night or day because we tried to call and no one answered and then when we went to the desk to report the problem it took a little while to get it fixed

I stayed there for five days and the housekeeper never showed up to clean the room. Houskeeper only came one day and changed the sheets but never cleaned the room.

The manager was horrible. They need to explain when a customer pays for the stay they told you only need to pay a resort fee. Then when you get there its more charges without your knowledge. Need better communication.

It was clean, well kept up, plenty of bars and resteraunts in the hotel tho some opened or closed at a little bit unusual times and the pool closed around 7:00pm. But its a nice place

Overall service was lacking, would not clean your room, replace towel or clean trash. Beach service had no towels two days in a row at noon. If you need ice good luck, walk to lobby and hope someone at cafe. Lounge bar area has no entertaining or tv..... Staff needs to be more friendly, property has potential.

I was actually surprised on how nice this property was. The rooms are very spacious and the interior of the hotel is beautiful. The staff was also friendly. The dj at the pool was super popping.

They do services room late, the bathroom exhaust fan doesn’t work, around the windows is water leak mark. The lobby is great 👍. The bar in the lobby is very good and the bartender ladies are so friendly and nice.

The Shelborne was a safe and clean property. I enjoyed the pool, hot tub and beach very much. However, the front desk wasn’t too friendly when I was locked out of my room because the key didn’t work. Also, the room was not cleaned daily and I had to call to have it cleaned. Over all a good experience.

This was my first time at the Shelborne and it will be my last. We had an ocean view room and was surprised at the condition. The room was extremely small, very old/ outdated furniture. The furniture was chipped and unkept. The bathroom was so small. We paid upgraded to oceanview which cost an additional $300. There was no microwave and balcony door did not open and windows were dirty. Only one restaurant which closed at 6. The pool also closed very early. This is Miami and should have stayed open much later. We eventually got switched to new room which was ok but the toilet ran all day and night. Not much to do there.. customer on elevator had a meltdown because the townhouses were infested with termites…very disappointed and will never stay again
