At check-in, we were passed two forms and asked to sign each. The first was the usual hotel registration form which was fine. The second I had not seen before so I read it carefully. Basically, the form was an authorisation by the hotel to use our personal information as they wished - for advertising, marketing, etc. We were not told what the form was when we were asked to sign it. I said I would not sign it. The response was - that's OK, it's not mandatory!
For me, it is unacceptable for the hotel to ask guests to sign such a form without any explanation at all of the purpose.
Generally, the apartment was Ok - clean enough but dated and pretty basic. One of the two lifts was out of order for renovation.
