Honestly had a great stay at the Novotel Melbourne central. Great location, great room and even got “guest of the day” which was such a special touch. 10/10 recommend.

The location was spot on, handy to get a tram and get around Melbourne CBD. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. Could do with a little two seater dining so that when you order in you don’t have to sit on the bed to eat your dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed 2night over the weekend. The location is convenient close to shppingall and trains and trams. The service quite good. But this hotel has combined hotel (Novotel and Ibis) so check in and out area sometimes busy. The room is newly renovated but our bathroom sliding door doesn't have lock that is bit untreated. Overall it was nice stay.

The reception staff was great n friendly. The restaurant had limited supply of food for those late risers n there's no one to make you an extra fried egg when the ones there had run out. The fresh fruit juicer was great. I would book it again in next visit to Melb.

Good central location. Incompetent staff, took more than half an hour to check in 5 rooms, which were already prepaid. 3 staff members at the reception were trying to check in our group and were very lost at what they were doing. They kept on asking on providing photo id numerous times of the same person that was already checked by another reception staff. We asked for a late check out for a fee but were refused with explanation that the hotel is at the full occupancy. I did check the availability on line and there were rooms available of the same configuration for $220 per room per night. Very unpleasant experience when the staff is incapable or not trained for the job.

Great location. A short stroll to major tram lines and to the Melbourne Central Station. Lots of dining options within a 5 min walk. Downside. No bidet. Storage space for clothes not maximized.

Great Hotel with Great Staff in Great Location
The location of this hotel is centrally located to many restaurants and shopping area. The room size is very good and cleanliness is superb. The receptionist was very accommodating and customer oriented. We arrived in the hotel at 9am due to our early flight arrival and we were given one out of the two rooms I have booked instead of letting us wait for the standard check-in time at 2pm. I wish remember the name of the lady in the reception. I will definitely go back to this hotel whenever I am in Melbourne.

The location of property is down a busy tight lane with no parking. The room itself was small and tight for 3 people (2 adults and a child) There is no “in room guide” as such to hotel services or facilities, the option on our tv was a blank screen, so we could not see any features of the hotel. The in room dining (room service) was limited and we chose Uber eats over this option. I spoke to the concierge about booking parking as I was hiring a car on the Saturday and they stated it wasn’t required to book and I would be fine to bring it in, when I arrived with the car 24 hours later I was turned away and had to find other parking, which, as a tourist in an unknown city was stressful and time consuming and blocks away, when I vented my frustration to the concierge he just shrugged it off as if it was my fault. The rooms are not quiet and you can hear your neighbours coming and going. Overall this hotel would be fine for a business trip but it’s stressful and unaccommodating for young families, and I wish I had someone tell me this prior.

I didn’t like the lift as it took a while. I didn’t like the front desk during checkout as staff didn’t handle well as I requested late checkout at 5pm with an agreement of charging additional $100/ , then staff wanted to charge full day . Then I pushed have to push back as it was agreed during checking in. I liked the concierge’s staff as they are very helpful and friendly.
