Aitken Hotel, Conference Centre, not a hotel.

We understood that this was a Hotel,conference centre and were advised that they didn’t have food readily available but there were many places who would deliver. On arrival we found that the hotel bar was open and serving bar food - which was good. We were advised by the staff that we could get breakfast the next morning and that bar food was available all day and evening. However, it was not. This was only applicable IF THEY WERE HOLDING A CONFERENCES AT THE SAME. When trying to get food delivered, that wasn’t happening either - we suspect because the nearest restaurants were approx. 10/15 minutes away. Not that getting food would have been very helpful, as our room was only provided with 2 cups, 1 saucer, 2 tea spoons. There were glasses. 2 English breakfast tea bags, 2 0ther tea bags, 2 coffee sachets and 1 hot chocolate sachet, 2 milk sachets - all for 2 people for 2 nights. To be fair, they did provide another 4 tea bags when I requested them. Our room was small but very clean as was the bathroom. However, on being serviced the next day, no extra tea bags, milk etc. By the way, don’t expect to use the pool, gym etc. if there aren’t conferences. We came back around 4pm and everything was locked up. Given what we paid, we were extremely disappointed and would not return. the grounds are spacious and well maintained.

Nice hotel near the airport

It was a lovely stay had a fabulous time from start to end. The staff were excellent. Facilities great and made to feel really special. The pool and spa was lovely and a nice touch to the stay. There are many Kangaroos sitting on golf course.The hotel gave me a complimentary take away breakfast for free as I have an early flight.

Hospital style without character

Clean place with a nice indoor pool. Staff were friendly enough. It was lacking character. The fridge in my room was turned off and empty with a beverage price list on top. 2 single beds for $300 no thanks.....

Great potential

On an incredibly beautiful landscaped estate, this amazingly spacious site has a lovely pool, golf etc, It is a leisure resort of a specific kind, apparently aimed at the corporate conference sector. Rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. Since there are no other amenities in the immediate vicinity, the dining room is a key part of the hotel experience. The meal we had was unbelievably awful, yet at high cost. Interesting resort-style site, but food missed the mark.
