Love this place highly recommend
Amazing suite with well furnished balcony overlooking the island, huge bathroom with large shower and a double jacuzzi bath. Loads of good quality toiletries. Restaurant spacious but chairs a bit uncomfortable. Food great. We had half board, nice dinner choices available, extensive wine list. Loads of choice for self serve breakfast. Outside areas lovely to stroll around, bar well stocked with comfy seating. Staff...could not fault them, everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. Transport - bus stop 10 minutes uphill by foot. Husband and I want to go back again, would recommend for everyone young, mature, couple or family.

Comfortable & spacious room with a stunning view of the landscape and sea including a large balcony. Well maintained outdoor areas with pool & gardens. We stayed a night in late May & would have enjoyed a few more days to relax around the pool.A 15 minute walk to the village square with bars and restaurants.& the ancient Ggantija Temple site (the reason why we chose Xagra for our overnight). Interesting old relics displayed in the several lounge areas from excavation of original farm land at the site. We enjoyed a good dinner and breakfast. Travel light if you are using the bus from the ferry port. We got a taxi to the hotel and a bus back. Plenty of hire cars available for longer stays.

Lovely hotel in Gozo
We had a lovely stay at the hotel the staff were incredible and looked after us theoughout our stay! The hotel is beautiful! Great pool area and set in a lovely part of Gozo with amazing views of the island. You can easily walk to the village of Xaghra where there are plenty of bars and restaurants or it’s a short trip to marsalforn or xlendi for the Sea! The only issue was our “double” bed which was two singles pushed together and we kept on falling through the gap in the night! I would definitely recommend this hotel! :)

We went off season & enjoyed a quiet, peaceful & restful break. The Friday night entertainment was excellent. The food was very good & nothing was too much trouble, if there was anything not to your liking they were happy to offer an alternative.

The staff are very friendly & helpful. They provide lots of information to assist an enjoyable time. Nice experiences like BBQ nights are arranged for residents & locals to meet. Not far from local transport into either Victoria or the beach. Plus local sightseeing buses through the town.

Great hotel for a stay
Had a wonderful week with courteous and efficient staff all-too ready to help. Lovely food and wine at very reasonable prices. Being on Gozo, Cornucopia provided a much more relaxing time than our hotel stay on Malta, as interesting as that was. Would like to return even if the outdoor freshwater swimming pool was a bit chilly for my taste. That was early May; come July/August it would be perfect.

Peaceful hotel within beautiful grounds.
Beautiful grounds, adequate room with lovely fast running bath. Two swimming pools. Very good breakfast and evening meals (though the grapefruit juice was somewhat watery.) About a 10 minutes uphill walk to the village. Parking outside the hotel was easy, although probably harder in peak season. Paid Wi-Fi in the room a little tight. I used the free Wi-Fi in the communal areas. Very peaceful, but guess that depends on how many children are staying.

Friendly hotel in perfect position to see Gozo
I would like to call this hotel "No problem !' Whatever our request we were greeted with this phrase and looked after perfectly by the staff. My husband is a vegetarian and the chef prepared him a special meal each time we visited the restaurant. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and made our stay relaxing and fun . We took advantage of beautiful weather and went coastal walking as well as sight seeing. A ten minute stroll will take you to the piazza with restaurants and The Cornucopia is close to the best beach in Gozo . Perfect spot and lovely people I thoroughly recommend thie Cornucopia hotel !

Brilliant old-world style hotel full of charm.
Lovely old-style hotel with lots of atmosphere. Very welcoming -huge room that was very comfortable, and the evening meal in their restaurant was excellent in all courses - the roast lamb with rosemary particularly good, and my partner had veal which was also great. Huge portions of deserts as well! We had an excellent Delicata wine made from local Gozitan grapes. The breakfast next morning was also excellent and as much as you could eat! The perfect stay and i wish we could have stayed longer -we'll be back there soon!

Hotel for families and couples
We were greeted by a grumpy concierge, admittedly it was 2 am. There was only person who asked about our stay. Breakfast could have been better they staff were most concerned over families. There was not enough sun beds as most guest reserved them with towels so if you snooze you loose!! The hotel is good for families..

The original room we were given was on the red floor. The balcony was actually a walk through with two chairs on it. The air on unit was on the do of and it proud ed a low drone.we asked for an alternative room and was given a 2 bed bungalow across the road. The manager was excellent sporting out the problem.

Great hotel - big room and nice and quiet
We enjoyed our two nights at this lovely hotel. We had a great view down to the statue of Christ from our room. The room was huge so plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The shower was really good! Good breakfast too to start the day. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk outside the main plaza and the neighbourhood is very quiet which we liked. One down side was that there was no safe in the room and there was a charge if you wanted a safety deposit box, which is a bit disappointing these days.

Our 2 night stay was a great experience. Hotel is close to nature and fresh air. No cars, no traffic, room was quite small compared to our friends but it did have a view over the pool like our friends room. We will definitely visit again.

Nice Quiet Hotel With Excellent Views
Having under gone some major surgery earlier in the year my husband & I were looking for somewhere nice & quiet where I could complete my recovery. We have been to Malta a few times but never Gozo. We upgraded to one of the Junior suites & I'm very glad we did as it was a fabulous room with possibly the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept on. Having had neurosurgery in addition to the removal of some vertebrae in my neck I now find it hard to sleep comfortably. However, I slept extremely well in this bed with excellent pillows. The views from the balconies were superb & I am already missing them. The bathroom was fabulous with a nice walk in shower & I made good use of the jacuzzi bath. We arrived on my birthday which was on a Tuesday & therefore there was an outdoor BBQ with a live band. My husband mentioned to the waiter that it was my birthday & the band sang happy birthday to me & I was presented with a piece of cake with sparklers in it which was a nice touch. The staff were really lovely & helpful & nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent & plentiful. The decor was a bit dated in the main hotel & the air con wasn't great in some parts. The pool was nice but a bit dirty in the grounds, but great for relaxing in. The only downside for us was a large party of people who were there at the same time as us who were a bit noisy, particularly as I had gone there to recover from my surgery. All in all we would go back again though.

Good hotel on a lovely island.
We had a really nice stay at the Cornucopia, the hotel staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us especially the head waiter in the restaurant. The hotel had a lot of character although the rooms were very dated, particularly the air conditioning unit. The swimming pools were good but there weren't enough umbrellas for the amount of people staying in the hotel. Overall we had a great time and would recommend staying.

AC was not effective the ceiling fan looked as if it was about to spin off the ceiling. Room was very rural bathroom not the best as well as the bedroom. No place to sit in the room (sit on the bed or outside) sometimes it's nice to sit quietly in your room and enjoy a meal ordered from room service. Food was very disappointing, from the pictures posted on their web site I was expecting a wide variety of local dishes( sea food fresh fruit etc.). Breakfast was very Brithish based very disappointing. Wifi was limited to the common area and to access additional service the cost was prohibitive.

beautiful building and location, old tired rooms
beautiful old building and lovely pool area but rooms are very tired and beds have foot boards which makes them v uncomfortable for anyone over 6 foot. Breakfast very disappointing. With some decent investment has the potential to be a fantastic hotel but it falls far short at the moment.

Great hotel, great location
I came to Gozo to look for property to rent long term. I found Gozo to be the most beautiful island with the most hospitable people. The staff at The Cornucopia (including Joanne, Chas and Joseph) to be extremely welcoming and accommodating. Any issues connected to travel were quickly and efficiently resolved. I would happily recommend this hotel to my friends when they visit me at my new home in Xaghra in the future.

We were roaming both Malta and Gozo and came back to the Cornucopia for a few additional nights. We had found the rooms so comfortable for the price (off-season) and the location so central that we returned. We never had dinner at the hotel so don't know about the restaurant but there are some good ones in the town.

Recently stayed for a long weekend with my partner. This hotel is full of character and charm. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was simply furnished and very comfortable. Full English breakfast offered as well as local produce on the buffet. It's in a very good location whether you have a car or not. I highly recommend this hotel and would definately stay again.
