The property should at least have drinking water in fridge is the basic stuff . In other properties we have more stock in the fridge which of course we pay at the check out

Not happy with the manager or the stay !
Firstly the manager of this hotel need to learn hospitality. This is the first time in all hotel stays that I'm told you are not allowed to bring any personal bag to the breakfast room. If you have checked out and in a rush to go home, where do you leave your bag? for the record, this is not a check in bag, but this is a laptop bag with your laptop, passport, money and all. They expect to keep this in reception. What security do we have in this exercise ? I'm not sure I will stay in this hotel again.

Thank you very much for your feedback, the rule of not accessing the breakfast room with suitcases or similar items is for security reasons. This rule is detailed in the house rules which can be consulted both at reception and in the room. The breakfast room is a very crowded area and we aim to avoid any incident. At reception there is a special locker where you can leave your suitcases or luggage, where we identify each item that is deposited. Or you can leave it in your room while you have breakfast, we consider the safety and comfort of our guests to be more important than the short time it takes to leave any luggage in custody or in your own room. We regret that this security measure has inconvenienced you. Best regards.

The lobby is very small and dark. Pictures on site are deceiving. The location has homeless in front of the hotel and feels uncomfortable. Room was clean but small and same with bathroom. I would not stay here more than 2 nights if need be.

I stayed for 6 nights in June 22, and enjoyed it. It's clean, and the room looked like on the photos (I had a double room). It had a safe and a mini fridge (important in summer) and a bog wardrobe. There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance, and it's literally opposite a Metro station, plus plenty of buses in the area.

Clean, Cozy Stay in Madrid!
We had a really good stay at this hotel. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right by a metro stop, and a bus stop. The city center is about a 15 minute walk slightly uphill. Hence, we wished we would have stayed a little closer to the center, but with the metro it was fine. The only negative of our stay was that there was some construction going on, and it was a little noisy in the morning. But overall, a good place to stay in Madrid!

Good hotel in a decent location, with easy access to the metro. Room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was excellent and the front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. My only complaint would be that the walls between rooms are not that thick and you can hear some of the noise from the adjacent rooms. Not a huge deal though. Overall, still a great choice and good value for the price.

Wat een onverwacht fijne plek voor een paar dagen Madrid! Net en ongedwongen hotel met mooie en ruime kamers. Met 2 personen ruimte genoeg. Koelkast en gratis koffie/thee zijn op de kamer aanwezig en daarnaast is er ook een goede bar waar je tevens een hapje kunt eten. Ontbijtbuffet was gewoonweg goed! Hotel ligt op een mooie en centrale plek dicht bij metro en bus. Naar oude stad, de rivier of andere wijken is daarmee eenvoudig te doen. Genoten!

We have stayed at Puerta de Toledo several times and have always found it more than satisfactory. It is very convenient to our needs in Madrid but is away from the centre and main attractions, although right by a Metro station. Breakfasts are adequate though hot food is usually lukewarm, but overall the hotel is good value for money. Handy for cafes and the Rastro street market.

Although rooms are on the smaller side, the location is perfect. Metro access right across the street. Buffet breakfast offered plenty of tastey options. Staff was super helpful and arranged an early taxi to the airport and packed breakfast since we departed before it was open.
