Last minute booking for one night in Mackay because this hotel seemed to be one of the only ones with availability in the area that had a front desk agent that could check us in around 11pm. The room was very small and I kept finding hair on the bathroom counter. The shower design wasn’t too great as water seemed to get all over the floor. Overall, it was good value for what we got. We checked out very early the next morning and did not use any amenities or know if they had them. The location is right next to the airport so if you’re flying into or out of Mackay it’s a convenient location.

We felt very unwelcome by a strange manager at the counter. He looked at us and made us both feel extremely uncomfortable. The guy was very strange and very unapproachable. We wouldn’t go there again. The blinds in the room didn’t block out the light from the street/airport which was very annoying and the bed was super uncomfortable even though it was a king size. Our overall experience was very bad.

Great stay!
Excellent hotel! Very modern and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very average and not that interesting. But we had breakky from the normal menu and it was very good! Highly recommend the avocado toast with chickpeas! We stayed here on a stop over travelling on a road trip from from far north Qld to Brisbane. Free parking very close is super handy!

Ask for a quiet room.
While the hotel is convenient to the airport, I was given the room number 408 that was very noisy all night. The room must be adjacent to a boiler and some electrical equipment with loud clicks and bubbling water noises all night. I has a very bad night not happy Jan.

Bed support broken, kettle not clean, toilet and bathroom not clean, uncomfortable stay, dinner staff at turbulence restaurants are rude but the morning staff were nice and friendly big contrast to the evening staff

The toilet in my room still had feces up inside in it and had clearly never been cleaned with a brush, the toilet seat was sticky. There was hair on the bathroom floor from previous room occupier. The shower was slippery from grime on the floor due to not being cleaned in weeks. The hotel was clearly being painted inside at the time of my stay although the carpets from the lift to my room were filthy and looked like they had not been vacuumed for months.

Right next door to the airport. Rental car lot adjacent to hotel. Quite convenient, especially if you have an early flight. Small room. Clean.

24hr food wasn’t available which is the sole reason why we booked due to late arrival Really not well equipped for what they advertise all over the hotel. Really inconvenient place to stay as no food delivery is available to the hotel and the hotel doesn’t have operational kitchen to coincide with flight arrivals. We felt really sorry for an elderly man that was rushed through his check in wasn’t asssited with anything related to check in, appeared really rude to him.

Cheap and clean night’s accomodation. Not in the “centre” of Mackay, but just a 5 min drive. Only negative - no matter how the shower was positioned or door pulled close, water went all over the bathroom floor.
