The owners and staff treat you like one of the family. There are 18 units surrounding a swimming pool and bar area. You sleep upstairs and the bathroom and sitting area are downstairs. The 1606 Restaurant offers delicious food. On Saturday night, there were local musicians playing and the owner encouraged the guests to join in by playing the maracas or dancing.

Enjoyable stay
The staff at Village de Santo make this place. They are so hard working, super helpful, aim to please and are attentive to detail. Great breakfast, kids loved the pancakes! And we loved the scrambled eggs. Nice layout of rooms, with central pool and lovely surrounding gardens. Beautifully tiled bathroom, you need a little patience with the shower but once underway it was the best! Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Nabil (owner) and his staff were so friendly and helpful during my stay there. Apartments are kept clean, the food is lovely. New Years Eve dinner accompanied with live music (including staff taking part) and some fireworks. It's a good place to relax, just what I wanted on a holiday.

Nabil the hotel owner and all of the staff working at Village De Santo were all fantastic and super friendly. Restaurant food was great, yummy cocktails. Staff can organise any tour or scuba diving for you, super helpful. Good location 5 minute drive from town.

Nice small hotel with great staff
Really nice hotel on the outskirts of Luganville. Cannot fault our room and good self catering option. No oven but a microwave/kettle etc... You will need to take a taxi to the beach and town unless you hire a car - hotel is not on a beach. Pretty quiet at night - all windows have fly screens and shutters but no glass. Very family friendly - especially with younger children.

The Segon Canal runs along Luganville Town and we are a 5 minute walk to canal however correct this is not the ocean. It does offer a cool walk along the Canal and maybe you can join in a game of Volley Ball with the locals. It was a pleasure to host your family. We hope to see you again in Santo.

A delightful stay.
We have just spent 10 delightful days at Village de Santo and found the hospitality and facilities excellent. The staff could not be faulted and the position, near the water and a short $2.40 taxi trip to the centre of town, was just what we wanted. It really is a "Village within a village", so there is no elite Resort-style aloofness. Yet the compound is secure and delightful, with an excellent restaurant and bar. The Saturday night local string band was a delight, (thanks David). Thanks especially to our host Nabil, for his urbane hospitality. The visit of the Vanuatu Prime Minister for lunch was an unexpected surprise!

The location was good, the restaurant was great with plenty of choices and the staff very pleasant and friendly, enjoyed a 9 night stay with husband but I don't think it would be ideal for young children because of the high stairs and the fact that the loft only has wire rails.

Lovely tropical layout
The Village de Santo looked after us well for a one night stay. The layout next to a refreshing pool was delightful, and the offerings in the restaurant delicious. As with most Vanuatu resorts, the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The accomodation is a little out of town, and next to a busy road with a little associated traffic noise. But a well maintained and pleasant accommodation stay in Luganville.

Overall the hotel is very comfortable. It is a small place with a few chalets but ideal for a comfortable stay. Staff are absolutely great. Rooms are in good condition with basic kitchen facilities. Restaurant food is good

Beautiful and spacious accommodation just outside of Luganville town. The staff were delightful. It was easy to access transport and tours. The resort serves amazing food and has a lovely tropical feel. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were extremely helpful with all our trip plans. Even with last minute bookings, they went above and beyond to assist. We enjoyed dinner at Village de Santo both nights of our stay - there was a vibrant atmosphere with live music and delicious food. We would stay again.

Village de Santo is a joy. Hosts Bev and Nabil and their staff go out of their way to make you very welcome. After a couple of days it feels like a homestay rather than a hotel. Great rooms, clean and comfortable beds and well appointed. Daily contintal breakfast is generous and includes fresh tropical fruit, pancakes, toast, pastries and their is also the choice of more substantial cooked fare. The icing on the cake is the coffee machine so you are never far away from having a great barista made coffee. Lunch and dinner menu is varied and prices are comparable with other restauranrs in town. Happy hour daily with reduced drink prices is fun. Facilities for divers are great with big tubs for washing and plenty of room to hang your gear. Village de Santo is a five minute taxi or bus ride into Luganville. Thoroughly recomended would be very happy stay again. Great spot to base yourself to dive the Coolidge.

Extremely well presented boutique hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly, rooms beautifully presented, spacious and clean with kitchen facilities. Outside areas lovely but small so can have some noise from neighbours. Hosts take pride in providing information for tours etc. Close to town for exploring.

Fantastic friendly helpful staff
We were lucky enough to have the undivided attention of the staff. Special thanks should go to Valerie who treated us like a member of her family, an amazing lady. The managers Nabil and Bev are also great, taking a personal interest in your stay and how it can be made better. The food here should also get a special mention, we had our favourites but the staff kept trying to make it appear special, and we don't think it came out the same way twice - very good value and fantastic taste and presentation.

The team at Village are outstanding and the hotel is modern, clean and very comfortable. The 2 level rooms are spacious and cool, with direct access to the lovely pool - a morning dip was had every day before breakfast. Hotel owner Bev was just fantastic...made everyone welcome, researched and booked us spa treatments for when we went to Port Vila, and ensured we were all relaxed and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again.

We stayed at Village de Santo for two weeks in summer. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Although there was no air con, the open layout and ceiling fans were enough to stay cool. There is a pool but it got warm late on sunny days (not unlike some of the other resorts). The included breakfasts were always delicious. The attached restaurant has excellent quality food (the eye fillet is amazing). Staff were the highlight, so accommodating and helpful. They made the stay very enjoyable.

The hotel is comfort to stay. It is close to town. What I am not happy with is the cost of airport transport is not made transparent to the clients. The client is recommended to even buy water from the hotel. Everything is expensive.

Great place! We were a couple staying for a week. Room was really comfortable. Great breakfast included - by far the best we've had on this trip. Staff were all really helpful when organising tours and suggesting where to go. Its a really spacious apartment and if where possible a small cook top would be beneficial and may be a fridge that is a little bigger but neither of these things lead to an uncomfortable stay.

The hotel is pretty close to everything on the main road. A little further from the market and town park than I would want to walk daily but it's only $2 by taxi to get anywhere and the taxi's constantly go up and down the road. We really liked the beautiful courtyard and pool area and 2 story loft style rooms. The wifi works in most rooms with a weaker signal but was good enough at the outdoor bar near the pool to make good Skype calls.

The hotel itself is very nice. the rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. the staff were kind, generous and prompt. Four minor issues keep this a four star rather than five star hotel. first, it is out of the way - 15-20 minute walk to town, and there's nothing in the immediate vicinity. second, while the restaurant served great lunches and dinners, the breakfast (which comes with the booking) is really basic (only french toast or pancakes plus 2 cereal options five days straight). Third, the swimming pool, which looks bigger /longer in the photos, is really only usable if you are splashing around (i.e no laps). Fourth, if you need wifi, you better specify that you need one of the rooms next to the restaurant, otherwise you can't get reception.

Bev and Nabil made our stay at Village De Santo very enjoyable. Even before we arrived Bev provided good information about the conditions on Santo following Cyclone Pam. We arrived late due to flight delays and Bev had provided something for us to eat seeing the restaurant was closed. Everyone was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Modern spacious and very clean loft style rooms in a nice garden setting with pool. Good restaurant on-site, although a little pricey. The hotel is a short walk or taxi ride (200 vatu) to the Main Street of Luganville. Probably suits family / activity groups rather than a couples getaway. David on the front desk was very helpful.

Lovely hotel to base holiday in Santo.
Just had a lovely few days here. Nabil, the owner , was so helpful with info and helping plan days and booking activities. The hotel, though not 'on the beach' had a lovely pool and beautiful gardens. The rooms were great and thoughtful touches with items supplied in kitchen. Good coffee !

Amazing hospitality and restaurant entertainment.
We recently had a very memorable stay. The management and staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The bed sheets were of exceptional quality and the bath towels very pleasantly soft. Most memorable was our last night in the restaurant as we were served good food and entertained immensely by a very talented local singer, the staff, even owner Nabil, all of who happily encouraged participation from all of the patrons. A fun night was had by all!

An exceptional tropical boutique hotel
The staff, rooms and setting are all amazing. The restaurant produces beautiful fresh food. I can not fault this hotel, except to say that perhaps the Wi-Fi could be a bit faster.

nice resort but no access to swimming/snorkelling
nice spacious room, one big space with bedroom on a second store, hardwood staircase and floor. However bathroom is on the first store which at times is inconvenient. Rooms are arranged on 3 sides of a rectangle which makes sounds to carry around, especially at night time. Taking shower was a challenge - gas heater only allowed either burning hot or refreshingly cold water, mixing was impossible. Maybe it was just a toll of our room number - we stayed in number 13. Restaurant is adjacent to the resort, dinner for two cost us at least 50AU. We had breakfast included, it was same every day - pancakes, local fruit, serials, tea, coffee. Town is 10-15 minutes walk or 3-4 minutes/200vt by cab. Biggest disappointment for us was no access to swimming/snorkelling within reasonable distance - the closest was 20 minutes drive, taxi costs between 15 and 25AU. resort is situated on the main road which was pretty dusty. we like to take walks so we tried a couple of times but gave up, walking along the road in the dark wasn't pleasant. Resort is situated between locals' dwellings, dogs and roosters might be a problem for light sleepers. Also local burn green waste which produces a lot of smelly smoke. Our room didn't have glazed windows, just timber shutters, so the smoke was freely getting into the room.
