The initial room we had booked had issues with its a/c. We were then upgraded for free to a suite with a working a/c. It was lovely!

It was a lovely hotel. Just details like missing grout in the bathroom and grimy walls made it feel less than a 4 star hotel. We were looking forward to the "full English breakfast" and it was a bit of a let down due to overcooked/undercooked foods and less than ideal flavor.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a bit of mixup with my reservation when I got there but the issue was resolved rather quickly. The hotel was super clean, quiet and had great amenities.

The staff was very accommodating. I had an early flight and check in time wasn't until 3pm. The staff was efficient and helpful. I was comfy and checked in by 11am.😇. They made sure my family and I was comfortable and warm.

We had a room with a bay window and first impressions were very good. Staff friendly and welcoming. However, our room had stains on the carpet and on the canvas above the bed...a little off putting and clearly lacks attention to detail.

Don’t be put off by some of the negative reviews of this place. My guess is those were written by occupants of rooms 68 or 70 when some kind of water issue went down. Happens to the best of us… Didn’t seem like those rooms were being used and I’d just be cautious if they assign you one of those. Location is great. Breakfast is great. Rooms are A-OK and what you’d expect in London. Our family of three had a great stay there and I’d consider staying there again if the price was right. I’d just say don’t expect a 4-star hotel experience. Very curious how they are maintaining that status. Restaurant was closed, desk staff not always the most welcoming, and there were areas in obvious need of upkeep. Thermostat and phone were not typical of a 4-star property for example. But we had no need for either. It was generally like a solid 2.5 star hotel with a great breakfast in a fantastic location. Go in with those expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

Hotel is well situated for those who like to walk or use public transit. Old style building, but kept up well. Lots of restaurants and pubs around, though their own restaurant was closed.

Certainly, here’s a review based on your feedback: Title: Great Staff and Location, Room Needs Improvement Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The location was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my stay enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the condition of the room. The room had a strong odor of urine upon entering, which was quite unpleasant. Additionally, the rugs were stained and dirty, and there was noticeable mold in the room. The AC unit was noisy and disruptive, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. The bed was small and not very comfortable. Furthermore, I was surprised to find that there was no complimentary bottle of water provided in the room, which is a basic amenity expected in most hotels. Overall, while the location and staff were commendable, the condition of the room left much to be desired.

Hotel is in a great location. Super accessible and in walking distance to a lot but the hotel itself is dated. It smelled musty. Wouldn’t stay there again but the staff was friendly. The hotel soaps and stuff were super dated

Excellent location convenient for underground, museums, Royal Albert Hall etc. Staff friendly but room very tired and run down. Ok for what we paid but 2 to 3 star at best. A bit of care and upgrading and would easy be 4 stars

This hotel has great staff. However the restaurant is permanently closed and the bar is only open three days a week. Th rooms are adequate and the cleaning staff are great. We never had their breakfast because it was so expensive.

Hotel was spotless, Staff was extremely helpful, Room was very clean, towels replaced daily and room cleaned, bed was very comfortable. We were in room 527 which is like an attic room, unfortunately the roof slopped which meant the person sleeping on the right side of the bed bumped their head when getting up. Room needs some TLC e.g. needs painted and cracked tiles in bathroom need replaced and it was extremely warm at night. Even though I have mentioned some negatives we did have a lovely stay.

We stayed in this property for 4 nights and the only redeeming feature is the location. It is 5 minutes walk to a tube station, 20 minutes walk to Harrods, there are 2 supermarkets close by and several pubs and fast food outlets. The room was very small even by London standards and our view outside was a staircase and air conditioning units. Staff attitude was inconsistent. The day we checked in staff were courteous and helpful. On subsequent days when we had an issue with wifi a different set of staff were decidedly unhelpful and actually encouraged us to give a negative rating following checkout. We certainly would not recommend this hotel in London. Look elsewhere.

Good location. While building seems older, hotel is good. Only gripe was a random loud vibration in the building at times. Breakfast was solid. Location is great being that it is close to Gloucester Road station which is just a few stops from Central London. Staff was excellent, very helpful, and kind.

Great location. Goof up on my part, paid for a night we didn't use. No credit, extras ( free breakfast..) was offered. Refused to give me herbal tea. Our ,",up grade" was a basement room where we had to keep the curtains drawn all times. Great view of service stairs. Nice hotel totally unsympathetic staff.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. The hotel itself is in need of new carpet as the carpet is very stained and has a bit of odor. The junior suite was not very impressive no electrical socket in bathroom.

Staff was great. Rooms were small. Hotel was musty and wet smelling. Carpets were stained. Overall, hotel appearance was tired and worn.

Super close to the public underground transportation and accessible. Nothing too fancy, everything you need. Awesome for the price you pay. Will stay there again if im in the area.
