Room was very clean, newly renovated, crisp sheets, on the smaller side but it's london so to be expected. Staff were friendly and helpful with storing bags. Easy check in, all around great experience, and great value for money! Would certainly stay again on my next visit to london!

The facilities, food, staff and refreshments were excellent. The hotel itself was well maintained and the staff were very attentive to ensuring this. Ideal location for travel around London and the staff were excellent helping their customers. However, the room was not as quiet as hoped as I could hear the neighbours TV through the wall, I was awoken by a banging in the pipes when the neighbour showered and there was also a worrying smell coming from the air conditioning unit that prevented it being used. Despite this, I cannot fault the staff who did their very best to support my stay - great ambassadors for their hotel and brand - thank you :)

Modern Hotel
I travel for work and need hotels that cover the basics well, but have to meet our (ancient) expense policy. Motel One is modern and meet those requirements well. Warm shower, comfortable bed and the rooms like looks like they are taken care of. Shower was hot, and had good pressure, even with the ‘eco’ setting the most hotels have now (mostly to save on their water bill!) Bed was comfortable with nice smelling fresh sheets. It was a bonus that the room was very quiet - in a busy city like London, you tend to hear noise all the time. The room was small, but not in a cramped way, more of a here is all the space you need, but not much else. Guest wifi was speedy and easy to sign in to. Finally, the styling was modern and fresh, with no snags that I could see. Most hotels these days tend to be repainted for the 13th time and have bit of trim missing, old windows, and obvious blemishes. I would recommend a stay here as a solo traveller or maybe a one nighter. I would be cautious if you using this as a base for a few days (unless you can get a room size bigger?)

We were charged almost $100 more than what we had additionally agreed to and what was on our hotels.com confirmation. At the time we didn't argue, because we had just come in from a long day of traveling and I needed to review what the email was, this also occurred at the Motel One-Princes in Edinburgh (seems to be common with the chain). The bathroom smelled of mildew and mold.

Superb location for Aldgate tube station. Staff good, efficient and friendly Room. Spotlessly clean, good for overnight stay or 2 max. No frills, ie no wardrobe, iron, suitcase landing.Small room 1407. Good city landscape view..24/7 bar.

Dated old rooms don’t match the reception
Initial impression of hotel at reception was lovely and modern. Sadly the rooms did not meet that expectation, dated decor and worn out carpets, wood chip wall paper. Booked this for a special occasion, should have stuck to booking a premier inn. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just very disappointed in the room.

Small rooms but comfortable
Clean and comfortable. In a great location for central London, just a few minutes walk from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Rooms are quite small with minimal storage but it works if you just need a bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again

Hotel itself is rather tired. Few issues in the bedroom that we annoying. 1. Towels were wet, 2. Lights werent working abive the bed 3. Shower was dangerous as the mixer turned back to full temperature on its own. I would set it at a temperature and the mixer tap would unwind itself back to hot Location was fine but should really be advertised as Aldgate, not tower hill.

While the room was VERY tiny it was quite comfortable. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bath towels were huge and soft. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. The location is fantastic. It is a 3 minute walk from the Tower Hill station and 5 minutes from Aldgate. We could travel easily to anywhere we wanted to go from these 2 tube stations. Further it is a 5 minute walk to the Tower and Tower Bridge. This was our second stay here and we will definitely be returning.

Excellent choice for vacation travel. Will definitely look up this chain of hotels for the future trips. The only complaint is pillows — there are several choices but both are uncomfortable. Everything else is great - AC, showers, breakfast, and the overall vibe.

I stayed for night. Hotel is close to the Tower of London and underground station. Staff are friendly and helpful, but bar music is too loud at all times. My room was small especially as I had a king sized bed but had everything I needed and was clean. Towels were large and fluffy, body/hairwash was good to use.There was no storage or draws, only a rack to hang a few clothes on. The tea/coffee tray was in a cupboard by the bed with drop down door, and I banged my head on the corner when making drinks. The cups are flimsy cardboard and difficult to drink hot fluids from. My room was at the back overlooking empty offices but was very quiet with little light coming through curtains.I did not have the continental breakfast which seemed overpriced at £12.50. There is a Co-op and Tesco nearby for sandwiches, pastries etc. I would stay here again when next in that part of London

OK for an overnighter.
If you just want a bed then the room is OK, very small with little storage space. The shower wasnt fitted firmly so pointed at the wall which made it difficult to shower but our biggest issue was the privacy. Our room was directly overlooked by a 13 or 14 storey office block and we had no net curtains. It was either being constantly in the view of the office workers or keep the curtains completely shut with no view or natural light.

We checked in on the evening shift bc our flight was late. We were greeted by Marco & George and they were so nice. Even gave us a complementary drink at the bar because we were celebrating my daughter’s graduation. When we got to our room, there was a problem and so i went back down and immediately they moved us to another room. Such professionals! Will definitely stay here again.
