Beautiful hotel! The bedroom was big and the section of the room with the pull out bed had its own bathroom and privacy. Train station one block down, lots of food spots to walk to. Overall the room was great!

We had no hot water for the entirety of our stay. They said they had fixed it but it was not. Even the room we were moved to did not have hot water. This happens, but the way the manager handled it was very poor and I would not go back ever again

Very pretty, simple but sophisticated. Bathroom is tiny, but one of the best showers I have had in years. Staff very responsive and nice. Bit noisy, both from street and noise from above. Get top floor? Would easily stay again especially given the price and neighborhood.

Great hotel stay. Staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. My only downfall was that there were limited dining options in the area. The local pizza express was amazing!

For the price- not worth it. The bathroom had mold and the walls were very thin- we were unable to go to sleep until well past 2am due to so much noise. I would expect much better for almost $300 per night. The neighborhood is beautiful, we will be choosing a different hotel next visit.

Starting with the positive: The staff was amazing, very customer oriented and helpful. The facilities and overall room very clean. Located in a nice area and walking to many attractions was convenient. However, the room and in-room ammenities were disappointing. The room was too small for two singles sharing a King room. There was no room for our suitcases and had 1 drawer to share with minimal space to hand clothes up. The lighting was very dim and, no outlets in the bathroom which made getting ready to go out for dinner etc very challenging. We found ourselves "climbing over" each other to get dressed, dry our hair, do make up etc. Finally, staff did come in each day to make bed and provide clean towels but did not tidy, replace cups, coffee etc. Overall, nice hotel but not as comfortable accomodations as I would have expected and preferred.

Excellent in every way! We arrived early in the morning after a long flight and they went out of their way to allow us to check in early so we could refresh and relax. The hotel is gorgeous and very convenient location to tube station. Highly recommend.

Beautiful older hotel, is just steps away from the Gloucester Station Tube station, but almost in a neighborhood setting. The property was undergoing renovations while we were there. New door locks (we had to reprogram our key several times), dining room was being renovated (so no dinner at hotel was available). Housekeeping was on pointe, however, we only received washcloths every third day. The linens were fluffy and soft. Coffee service in the room was Nespresso everyday and complimentary. Snacks and drinks were available all day in the lobby.

It was overall a nice stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but cute. Walls are really thin. I don’t like the fact the doors are locked after 12 into the entrance. You have to wait for someone to physically come unlock it. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

This hotel was a great find, perfect location for us. We had space to work and relax, staff was always on hand. The breakfast was everything one could hope for! The Royal Albert Hall in walking distance was the prize.

My room was very nice and the reception staff were excellent! However there was a lot of maintenance work going on including renovation of the brasserie and bar so they were not available. The breakfast was disappointing and the staff were totally disinterested and no explanation of what was available ie you could order items to be cooked fresh in the kitchen! There was no bottled water in my suite until the third day. I think there seemed to be a lack of management of the property

The hotel was lovely and reception staff excellent, the rooms were clean and well appointed! I found the breakfast very average for the cost and the staff completely disinterested in the guests! The lack of any restaurant or bar was something I may consider next time I’m here!!

Absolutely amazing stay! Hotel was updated, clean, beautiful, and had the most accommodating staff that helped us find restaurants and activities during our stay in London. Even made reservations for us at some of the best restaurants that were fully booked. Love this hotel, am absolutely going to stay again!!!

I stayed for one night because I was in town for business. The staff was very friendly however the WIFI didn't work for me the entire stay and my room completely flooded after taking a shower in the morning.

Premium room but there was no shaving mirror, the arm to support it yes but no mirror. Control arm for the water temperature was also missing making it difficult to get the water temperature right. Reading lamps by the bed would come off the wall whenever you adjusted them, they were not fixed securely. Given the cost of the room the buffet breakfast was disappointing, not much variety and not as warm as it could be,

The property was well staffed with an adequate number of employees at reception desk and house keeping. Reception desk staff were pleasant, appeared to be well trained and responsive to requests in a timely manner. The restaurant needed at least one more staff member on duty to handle the number of customers during breakfast and dinner hours and would not accept cash, only credit cards. I would have preferred the option to pay cash for small orders like a cup of tea or a cocktail. The hotel has been recently renovated with modern fixtures in the rooms and bathrooms, window coverings, heating and air conditioning, new flooring, paint, a reasonable number of electrical outlets, and updated furnishings in the rooms, lobby and restaurant. The rooms were small but had extra touches like sweets and a welcome message upon arrival, books, tea and coffee, tea cups and espresso cups, wine glasses, and a bottle of water provided each day. There was also a stocked mini-bar with snacks for purchase. The hotel lobby and corridors were well lit and the lifts were separated from the guest room corridors by doors which made the corridors much more quiet. The hotel is a half a block away from a tube station with many nearby places to eat, get coffee, pharmacy and small grocery store. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Melia. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful, from the moment we walked in. Our room was ready earlier than expected and after an overnight flight from the US we were happy to be able to unpack, freshen up and start our first day in London. Our room (#308) had a king sized bed and was spacious by European standards and was immaculate with well thought out amenities. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping things that way with daily service. The location was excellent, only 2 blocks from the Gloucester tube and a 10 min walk from South Kensington station which we needed when Gloucester was closed for repairs over the weekend. We were walking distance to Hyde Park (15 min) and Harrods (25 min). The area has lots of coffee places which we went to for light breakfasts and several restaurants. All in all very pleased with the hotel and would highly recommend.
