Extremely dirty and stained carpeting in room and hallway. Breakfast times are not the same every day. We prepaid for breakfasts for three days, but on the third day, Sunday, breakfast is later. We had to leave without breakfast because we had a train to catch. They refused to refund us for the breakfasts paid for but unable to stay for! Very unpleasant woman at the check-in desk… even a smile, would improve things.

I love how this property was so close to so many attractions, like Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, but was very quiet and felt safe. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bar staff always went over and beyond for us on our "night caps". It was the perfect end to each of our days in London. The rooms were not as small as some guest had descripted. We reserved the twin beds and we were pleasantly surprised how roomy it was. Will definitely recommend to anyone and will be back to stay there next time I am in London.

We would definitely stay here again!
This hotel was almost the most perfect hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, which is something I’ve never said, or experienced. My husband and I chose this hotel by its location to sites we wanted to see and reviews from other travelers. The room was somewhat small but the design was mostly perfect except for a couple quirky dislikes. upon entering the room, you need to put your room card into a slot to turn the lights on, thankfully, the Bellman was there to help with that. Otherwise we would’ve had no clue. There was a square plate on the wall that you had to touch different areas to turn the lights on, with the same square plate at the bedside. We never could figure out where to touch the square to get certain sets of lights on/off. I eventually had to unscrew the lightbulb next to the bedside. There were can lights and reading lights on either side of the bed, and the bathroom was well lit. Best lighting I’ve ever had. The bathroom was very clean, but there was no plug for our UK converter. The hairdryer was in a desk drawer and couldn’t be moved, difficult to use, as you how to hold a button in to get the hairdryer to work. I have arthritis in my left hand and used my brush in my right, but had to stop every few moments to give my hand a rest.. Very difficult to style hair, so my husband held the hairdryer while I styled, not what I wanted to do. Had to ask for clean towels every day because there was nowhere to hang them to dry except for back in the shower.

However, the reservation was made via your chosen third party agent with very specific terms and conditions including a 48 hours prior to the date of arrival cancellation policy which you agreed to despite knowing that there was a risk with such cancellation policy. The rate applicable related to and in consideration of the cancellation terms which were agreed at the time of booking/confirming the reservation.There is always a risk that guests may be unable to travel due to a wide variety of unforeseeable health or other reasons for example cancelled flights, weather conditions etc, many of these are beyond their control. I have only put ‘average’ as initially I was put in an apartment room. I thought this would be better than a standard room. It wasn’t. The apartments are situated in the basement. You need to stand on the couch to open/close blinds. The room felt claustrophobic and smelt mouldy. There are no lifts to the basement nor is there air conditioning. They have floor fans only. I asked to be moved which they happily did. The main guest area is lovely with ducted air conditioning & large rooms. It is there rooms I would recommend, not the apartments. Staff were obliging & friendly. Shops & Victoria station nearby (walking distance) which was really handy.

The hotel is very clean, and decorated tastefully. The entire staff tends to your needs with execellent customer service. And the location is set in a convenient location in a peaceful neighborhood.

Not the best.
Our stay was mediocre. I was told nothing of a “holding-fee” and ended up having a charge placed on my card of £200. The hotel room was crowded, the TV only had a few channels that worked and limited connectivity to watch anything other than the basic channels listed. The bar is ran by employees who make drinks based off a “bartending book”. Props to them, they probably don’t get paid enough to do all this extra stuff. We asked to extend our stay an hour in order to await our flight out of London and we’re denied. HVAC worked poorly, wifi was okay. If I read more reviews like this, I’d definitely book elsewhere.

Lovely hotel, clean rooms, quiet but that’s what I wanted. Nice bar but service could’ve been better, although bar practically empty barman was too busy dealing with room service orders, so had a wait for drink! Would stay again & recommend if looking for peace & quiet.

Lovely hotel - would stay again
Lovely hotel and room. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were a couple of issues with a language barrier when the people on the phone didn’t understand what we were saying when ordering room service but they then gave the phone to someone who did and from then it was all fine. We did book a twin and the bed was a double but they re-made the beds for us when we were out so that was sorted really efficiently. All food was yummy from the room service to the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is 5-15 minutes from everywhere in the centre district. The best thing for us it was in a quiet area off of main drags.

Clean and friendly.
Hard mattress and pillows. More milk and bigger cups be nice. Wasn’t sure that do no disturb was on a light switch. Some explanation on wall. The air con/heating vent is noisy at times through the night. The staff were lovely. The room was nice to look at. We didn’t use facilities so can’t comment on those. Nice elegant area not in centre.

The property was clean and quiet, but it was plain and a little off the beaten path. Several of our taxi drivers didn’t know where it was and London taxi drivers are notorious for knowing where everything is. The staff were friendly but not very well informed. Case in point, the concierge couldn’t recommend a place for breakfast other than the the hotel restaurant (which wasn’t very good). We wouldn’t stay here again.
