Trying to rent this property was a huge mistake. We arrived in London early because of a flight change. We messaged the property owner at 10:43am about how to contact them, with no response. There is no phone number on the itinerary, and messages "may take days to respond to". We called Expedia customer support at 4:40pm (and couldn't wait to talk to a representative) and 5:06pm. We explained the situation to customer service. They were supposed to contact the owner and call us back. They didn't. We didn't hear from the owner until 7:43pm that evening (nearly 5 hours after we were supposed to be able to check in), and by that time we secured other arrangements. When we finally did hear from the owner, they lied and blamed us for missing messages and calls. We received exactly one call (7:51pm) and one message (7:43pm).
I will be following up with Customer Support, this owner is not prepared to rent to customers.
We've used Expedia to make travel arrangements for years, I'm not sure what we will do next. I'm very unhappy with Expedia, and whomever owns this rental.
