We arrived a few hours earlier than the usual check in time and were delighted to be offered complimentary early check in. Our room was several floors up with no lift but we were offered help with our bags. Our room was fine. Not great (iron burns in the carpet and a sticking bathroom door) and the toilet was small and cramped to the toilet roll holder. However for a couple of nights it was OK. Our trip was to go to the Natural History Museum and that was within 10 mins walk. Lots of local restaurants (we went to Carluccio's) so no problem the Brompton doesn't do food. Happy to recommend and we'd stay again.

There is bed bug in the room fir the first night we stayed. The manager changed our room the next night. Location is perfect and price is very competitive.

After paying £65 for one night, we arrived and they expected us to pay another £75 (more than the room itself cost) the person behind the reception dest was rude and unhelpful. Upon entering the room we saw what looked like blood stained carpet. The windows were moldy and the bathroom door was stiff and wouldn’t lock. Overall the room was dirty and not what we expected. The tv wouldn’t work and we were told there was nothing they could do about it because they couldn’t remove the tv from the wall to fix the wire. So we were left in a dirty room with no entertainment. I would not recommend this place to worst enemy.

The room was comfy and spacious. Hotel is very close to tube station which made commuting very easy. There were a few good dinning options nearby. Museums are all on walking distance.

Basic facilities reflective of the price so acceptable. BUT low quality curtains and poor fitting windows with room facing Brompton road = noise and external lights = disrupted/no sleep. Would not use again

We had an amazing night I slept very well we were there visiting my mum in Brompton hospital. Which was only a short walk to the hospital. Very close by to South Kensington tube station

Perfect stop over
The Brompton was perfect for a stop-over before a 7:30am hospital visit. 1 minute walk from the tube, 7 minutes walk to The Royal Marsden. Plenty of choices for eateries nearby and shops for essentials plus cash machines next door. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the shower had a good temp and water pressure. Be mindful that the bath is quite narrow at the shower end and did get a bit slippery while in use. We had a room with a large floor to ceiling window/french doors which faced the main road so was a little drafty and noisy but didn’t stop us from sleeping. All essentials included such as towels, soap, a sachet of 2 in 1 for hair included per person, a mini fridge, kettle and hot drink items, there is a wall mounted hotel hairdryer but there is also a decent one in the top drawer of the dresser and an iron and ironing board are in the wardrobe. All in all, great price, great location and great stay!

This was the most economical place available in South Kensington, nearly half the average price in the area. Rule number 1 is to take this point into account for the review and rating. My room was nice and big, had a window, two single beds made into a double, closet, locker, an iron and ironing board, fridge, desk and chair, bin, two side drawers, a coffee table and an armchair. Even had a double electric hob, which I didn’t try, so not sure if it was working. Now, the cleanliness wasn’t top notch, but for the price, I’d say it was pretty adequate. Especially, the toilet, wash basin, and shower room were very clean and I didn’t bother about the difficult to clean dusty areas, and was happy to get the exact value for money which I expected at the price I paid. It’s not soundproof, and you can hear the traffic in your room. The bed was a bit uncomfy, and the hotel can invest in some proper bedding such as duvets and bedsheets/covers. None bothered much when I returned just for my nap after a long work day followed by some beer. Hotel has WiFi, and I had no trouble with heating or hot water. Complementary toiletries were also provided and towels replaced everyday. Note that there are no lifts, so be very careful when taking luggage up and down the stairs. There is no porter, but try asking for help. Back to rule number 1: this place lived to my expectations; I have recommended to friends and family and would give them my business again (if they retain price and quality)

Were do I start when we booked we didn’t expect much as was a lot cheaper than others in the area for 2 adults and 2 children. When we arrived it was clean staff very welcoming and room was clean only thing let it down beds was a little uncomfortable but we can live (everyone likes a differnt firmness )with that the staff was very helpful finding out what number bus we would need I would go back it’s 10 mins on under ground to city center and Leicester Square very convenient And quiet in hotel

Great little hotel, close to museums & park.
Good hotel, very convenient location 2 minutes from tube & a straight quick walk to the Natural History Museum / Science Musuem etc. Close to Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland. Room comfortable and had everything we needed and staff were lovely & very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again for weekend breaks

I was asked for a £75 security deposit on arrival, which was a bit insulting. The radiator was on a timer so the hotel room was cold, but they provided a mini heater when asked.

For the price in South Kensington, you couldnt really compalin. All the basic you need, dated in decoration and furniture but clean. TV had some issues with signal but nice to bave fridge and tea making facilities in the room. Good location, 2 mins walk from South Kensington tube.

Honestly my whole trip was ruined because of this hotel. To start with if you have family never stay in this hotel. There are no elevators so you have to carry everything yourself to whatever level you are . The rooms are literally so small in size that you cannot fit your luggage. The heater was hit and miss, if you open the windows it’s noisy. Drunk people walking outside at night . The shower was moldy and the temperature has to be adjusted multiple times during showers. There was weird kind of smell in the room. On top the staff was super unfriendly. When I asked for my receipt they had to check the room which I’ve never seen happening at any other hotel. The only good think it’s location apart from that it was a total flop.

I often stay here. The price is right. The staff are pleasant. It isn't the Ritz! And you don't pay Ritz prices. There ARE stairs to deal with, no lift if that matters to you.

Lovely location, lovely building!
The staff were kind and helpful. The water was difficult to turn off; I was finally forced to find someone to turn it off for me (which they did promptly and graciously)! Very attractive hotel, wonderful location, close to good restaurants, 2 minutes from the Victoria and Albert Museum, 5 minutes from the Science Museum. *Only suggestion: USB port somewhere? Could not charge my phone, which ended up rather perilous for me. I had to go out in search of somewhere to charge my phone.
