Very cozy boutique hotel. Love the library room, mirror room, fireplace lounge room. Beautiful neighborhood. Behind the hotel is a small alley Pavilion road, full of charming shops, eateries and Sloane square is less than 3 mins walk from the hotel.
Staffs (Finn, Bella, and many others…)are VERY helpful and nice. They went out of their way to make you feel at home.
I was given a small room with a “unique”bathroom sink at the beginning. The sink has 2 different faucets (taps), one with only hot water and one with very cold water. Since I don’t know how to use it, I got frustrated and complained to the front desk, they switched me to another room, which I am very happy about.
I also did research on the type of sink faucets, it was an old style for safety reasons.
This hotel was build over 100 years ago.
Back in the day, hot water was supplied by a storage tank often placed in the loft. It would heat up the water over time, so it would never be as fresh and could get contaminated during the process. Hence, it was decided to keep hot and cold water separately in order to keep cold water safe to drink.
