Nestled amongst Lodgepole Pines in a quiet subdivision just 4 miles North of Leadville overlooking the Arkansas River, this cozy condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one with jetted tub) plus a great loft area for the kids! Warm your toes by the fire after enjoying blue sky days on Ski Coopers' all-natural snow! Ski Cooper is a hidden gem and the perfect resort to learn how to ski or ride! Just down the road is incredible backcountry snowmobiling, or extensive, groomed Nordic trails! Keep in touch with family and friends or catch up on some work while on vacation with high-speed wireless internet! Don't worry about keeping up with sports, this home has cable television as well! A laundry area is easily accessible from the main hallway. (Starter supplies are always provided such as wash detergent, dish detergent, soap, and shampoo.) We even provide a smart television so that you can easily access your online content such as Netflix, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, etc! Cook all your meals in OR order a fantastic pizza delivered right to your door!

SNOWMOBILE ACCESS! There is absolutely NO SNOWMOBILING on the rental property or in the subdivision of Grand West Estates. This includes the river valley right below the subdivision. THE CLOSEST access to snowmobiling on established recreational trails is from the Leadville Junction parking lot/ trailhead area that links to Turquoise Lake. ALL SNOWMOBILES MUST REMAIN ON TRAILERS WHEN ON YOUR RENTAL PROPERTY!

Always a winner!
We’ve stayed at the Grand West Village cabins a couple of times. This time did not disappoint! The Mountain Star was the perfect space for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. A great selection of cooking dishes/utensils, washer/dryer in-unit is FANTASTIC, and the electric fireplace is always a winner for added ambience!

Comfortable, clean, good location
We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was super clean, open, and comfortable. The layout upstairs was a bit odd but fine. There is an open loft area upstairs with a queen bed and bunk beds in a shared space, and beyond that is a bedroom and shared bathroom. We didn't realize there was a closed bedroom upstairs (pleasant surprise), as we thought from the pictures that we were going to be in the open loft space with the kids. The bedroom downstairs also shares a bathroom with the rest of the downstairs space. The kitchen was sufficient. The pans were a bit worn and warped but they worked. Lots of utensils and plenty of dishes.

Our Own Backcountry Lodge!
We shared this spacious loft with a friend for a week of skiing and hiking. The amount of space and openness was amazing for the price. We felt like we had our own lodge for the week. The location is excellent, 10 minutes to either Ski Cooper, or downtown Leadville. The large open kitchen made meal prep easy and uncrowded.

Nice convenient property
Property was in a great location between Leadville and Tennessee Pass, very clean and comfortable, definitely a little outdated in regards to furniture and appliances, living room area is a good space with high ceilings and nice views, recommendation is a bigger TV in this area, being able to relax inside, with the fireplace going, and a good show to watch after a long day of outdoor adventure/activities is a bonus!

Christmas in the Rockies
Celebrated Christmas eve and Christmas Day as part of our stayt at the beautiful mountain home, enjoying the mountain views and fire. It was an easy drive to quaint Leadville shops, restaurants, museums and scenic railway. A spectacular day at Cooper Mountain capped off our four-day holiday retreat.

Comfortable and clean!
We enjoyed our visit to Leadville and hope to return and stay at Grand West again. It was very clean (super clean!) and well stocked with games, pillows, blankets and more. We slept great in their very comfortable beds and appreciated that each bathroom had an extra sink area next to it so that multiple people could get ready at the same time. It was very easy to get to and conveniently located just outside of the town of Leadville. It is located close to the road, and although its not a very busy road we did notice lights and sounds from vehicles because we had the windows open. Our family really enjoyed staying here and will be happy to return and to recommend to family and friends.

Lake Fun at Leadville
This VRBO property was excellent as it was close to Turquoise Lake, very clean and comfortable, and for the spacious size for four adults very reasonably priced. The process for check-in was seamless and the managers provided excellent and timely information. Highly recommended.

Perfect place!
We chose to stay here because of the proximity to Ski Cooper, which is what we did during our stay. The Mountain Star is a PERFECT location if you’re skiing at a Ski Cooper. An easy 10 minute drive. The unit we stayed at was spacious for our family of 4, clean, had all the kitchen necessities we needed- it was the perfect place to come back to and unwind after a full day skiing. Communication with management was easy with quick responses back. There was an issue with the dryer vent and it was addressed within the day. The only negative thing I can’t think of is that in the description it said there was a jetted tub. My kids were excited about this, but were disappointed to find out it was a standard tub, no jets. However, it wasn’t a deal breaker. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore CO, especially if skiing at Ski Cooper! Thanks for a great getaway!
