While the building's age brings character and quirks, it's perfect for budget-conscious travelers seeking a comfortable base. The floors are uneven, and the ceiling in the kitchen, shower, and entrance is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, requiring taller guests to crouch or tilt in those areas.
The studio features ultra-fast WiFi, a desk, and a functional kitchen equipped with essentials. Rest well in the comfy queen bed with a 12-inch memory foam mattress, and enjoy provided sheets, towels, and bathroom amenities.

Yes, we are pet friendly -There is an additional pet fee if you are bringing a pet (2 pets max) - $50 +tax for one, $100 +tax for two
Please note that the ceiling in the kitchen, entrance area and bathroom is slanted, and taller people will have to navigate the low ceilings are certain points. If you are tall and are worried about this, do not book this place!
Also note that the floors are a bit uneven - locals call it ‘the Leadville lean’ since so many of these 140 year old buildings were built on dirt foundations and have shifted over the past century.
Parking: Please do NOT park in front of any of the neighbor's houses on East 8th Street. . There is usually plenty of parking on Poplar Street. Also please note that the parking on 8th street, across from the building, is diagonal parking.
If it snows more than several inches, look for snow removal signs to make sure you don't violate any temporary parking rules or get towed.
Trash: There are 3 green waste management trashcans on the North side of the building. Please make sure to take out the trash and clean up after your dogs to avoid unnecessary smells and messes.
Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.
Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.
