"We stayed in the separate studio across the street that has cooking facilities. The room was relatively clean, but there was a lot of dust and dead insects visible on the part of the wood bed frame near our heads. The fridge wouldn’t stay closed and the hair dryer didn’t work. Our bathroom sink soap dispenser was empty and it did not get refilled for the 4 nights we stayed, even though I requested a refill on day 2. If you can live with all this, you cannot beat the location for convenience to town and the buses. The studio unit is below the street level so very quiet. The breakfast is ok, although this is a very busy hotel and they were constantly running out of cups, silverware, etc. during the breakfast hours. We had one dinner in the hotel (at an inside table) and I’ve never dealt with so many flies. Sit outside at this restaurant if you can. Lauterbrunnen was the highlight of our visit to Switzerland despite this hotel, but if you can afford something better I would."
