DESCRIPTION
Forget the rest, you`ve found the best! Very rare historic La Jolla Beach Cottage in an incredible location. Wonderful ocean views await and the beach is just steps away from this beautifully finished vacation home. The home is on Ocean Lane between Coast Boulevard and Prospect Street, right in the very heart of the Village of La Jolla.

Step inside this 1930`s era beach cottage and prepare to be impressed. The home underwent a floor-to-ceiling renovation in 2008 and then all new furnishings in 2012. Some of the highlights include hardwood flooring, a wood-finished cathedral ceiling offset by remote-controlled skylights that open for a sunroof effect. Bay windows offer dramatic ocean views from the living room, dining area, and master suite. Off the master suite is the bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is something special as well; fully stocked with all the cookware, appliances and dishes needed to prepare your favorite delicious meals, along with plenty of counter space and a period-inspired Northstar refrigerator and Convection oven.

In the living room, there is a gas fireplace to warm the evenings along with a comfy couch where you can relax and watch your favorite shows, including HBO, on the flat-screen HDTV. Or if you`d like to spend a lazy day in bed, there`s a flat-screen in the master as well, but the ocean views may be too distracting!

Guests at Casa de las Olas can take a brief stroll down to the ocean and La Jolla Cove. Extraordinarily beautiful, La Jolla Cove is one of the most photographed shorelines in Southern California. Because it is a protected Ecological Reserve, marine wildlife abounds. Water visibility at the Cove can sometimes exceed 30 feet, making it a very popular spot for Scuba, snorkeling and kayaking.

PARKING:
During the summer months only (June - August), there is a parking pass available for a nearby parking garage. Otherwise, it is street parking only. There are bus stops within a block of the home.

FROM LA JOLLA DRIVE: make a left onto Torrey Pines Road and then turn right on Prospect Place which becomes Prospect Street. Turn right on Jenner St. (at the Grande Colonial Hotel) Take your first right on Coast Blvd. S. Casa De Las Olas will be on your right in about 200 feet.

PARKING: There is street parking on Ocean Lane and the surrounding streets. Please be mindful of street parking regulations. In June, July, and August, there is a parking pass in the home for the parking garage located at 1111 Prospect St (in the Morgan Stanley building). Please be sure to leave the parking pass and FOB in the home when you leave; there is a $75 fee if the pass is missing from the home upon departure.

Great spot. La Jolla is awesome spot to chill and gateway to other activities. Walking in the morning to seagulls and sea lions in the distance was super peaceful. Ocean view as advertised from the living room. Would recommend.

Perfect location
The house was great for my husband, 2 kids and I. 2 on the bed & 2 on the pull out couch. The location was incredible! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else if we are ever back in the area. Thank you for an amazing stay in La Jolla.

Amazing location, great cottage
Location to the Cove and all Prospect and La Jolla Village shops sets this place apart from anywhere else in LJ or SD. Bluewater was very quick to respond to questions and concerns. Checkin/checkout was seamless, and the home itself is great for a couple or small family (3 or less). The space is tight in the bathroom, but this is what you get in La Jolla for the price and location. So no complaints there. Highly recommend, and will be coming back next time we vaca in LJ.

Awesome location!
This property is adorable. The location fantastic. One block down to the cliffs and one block up to shopping and restaurants. My only complaint is that the bed is very hard and uncomfortable. We would definitely stay here again, but I’ll bring a mattress topper.

Deposit issue
The rental company added a large security deposit on the day of my arrival to access their cottage; this was not part of original rental agreement. While I made an immediate credit card payment, their return of my deposit took a better part of 10 days and several text before I received their credit. It’s a great location, but I doubt that I’ll use Bluewater rental again.
