The property was really close to the beach and within easy driving to UCSD so that was a plus. Hotel was decent and reasonably clean, but seemed a bit run down. The bathroom was pretty tight and difficult to maneuver with two people trying to get up and out in the morning. Really musty and the bathroom fan didn't help much. The complimentary breakfast was just OK - pancake machine not operational and the only egg option had cheese. We ended up checking out early.

Everything was ok, but this is really a budget motel. Lots of noise from cars, rolling carts, doors, loud A/C unit. If you're ok with that, then this is a nice location in a good area.

Our experience was excellent. We arrived about two hours before check in and they allowed us to do an early check in and upgraded us for free to a studio instead of a standard queen. The room had everything we needed and the breakfast was also excellent. It was conveniently located near lots of restaurants in La Jolla and walking distance to the ocean. All of the other major sights were all within about a 20 minute drive. The pool and hot tub area were also very nice but unfortunately the weather was not warm enough to take advantage of them. If you want to stay in a reasonably priced place in La Jolla, I would recommend this Holiday Express.

This property is a hidden gem. Close to downtown La Jolla and the beach. Walking distance to the tide pools. The rooms are spacious and clean, pool is great. Came with family as a pit stop on our way into San Diego and we will definitely be back. What a great little place.

The suite was exactly the room for us. It was big and mostly clean, although there were clearly places that needed a more thorough wipe down. The shower drain was also very clogged. We stayed two nights, but housekeeping didn’t come to our room after the first night, which was disappointing. We would stay here again.

This property is very nice. The rooms are spacious and clean, and you can get somewhat of a peek at the ocean on the top floor. Parking is free! Breakfast is standard and decent, and best of all, included. The grocery store and the beach are both less than five minutes away, and there are plenty of scenic spots within 15 minutes, like La Jolla shores beach and the scenic coves. We will be staying here again.
