The ritz Carlton Kyoto is incredible. It is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The service was impeccable. The raspberry croissants and macaroons were better than the ones we had in Paris. It is well located and the concierge is the absolute best. We cannot say enough great things about this hotel and it’s staff. We were truly sad when we had to leave.

We stayed for six nights and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was great and the room was peaceful and relaxing. There were many breakfast options , which was great since we stayed many nights. The interior decor was gorgeous and there was a great art collection. We especially appreciated the outstanding concierge staff that helped booked all our dinner reservations months in advance. This is a very special place!

Highly pleased, satisfied, and happy
Yes, the hotel is not cheap, but you get here what you pay for. This is a nice memory worth much more what paid for. The staff is beyond excellent, the hotel facilities beautiful, very clean, modern, classy. The breakfast experience is awesome. Location is pretty good, there is a convinience store one block away. Taxi to many usual places is 1k yen to 3k yen. Japan it's not inexpensive. The staff is truly concerned about you having a great time and to truly serve you. Very nice people.

Great Location with No Lack of Staff
Hotel was centrally located within walking distance to charming streets lined with cafes and restaurants, shopping districts and the more traditional Gion area. Yet situated in a quiet enclave just adjacent to the river . Room was spacious and very comfortable which was important as pokey rooms never make for a comfortable stay. This was especially important as it was winter and impossible to spend most of the day outside. We were there for a week and the staff were all incredibly warm and had a very personal touch sharing a little of their lives and ours for the time we were there.

We stayed at the Ritz Kyoto during our vacation to Japan. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff is phenomenal. Everyone was very polite and helpful which made our stay more comfortable. We are already planning our next trip to Japan and will definitely stay at the Ritz again. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Ritz for two nights. The service was perfect as was everything about the hotel. Food at the hotel is very expensive (think $13 for a cup of coffee that no one refilled). But eat outside the hotel and it's fine. We did enjoy tea at the hotel. Worth the price

Amazing hotel. Amazingly expensive but probably market driven in price, if you are worried about money, don't stay here. High service hotel. Benjamin checked us in and took great care of us, three days later, he still remembered us and that was a nice touch. Very beautiful hotel. Very Beautiful. Very beautiful. Rooms are very well designed and we had the river view. Bathrooms are so special! We loved it. Great experience for us and our two sons/wives. Kyoto is very "National Geographic". Took 3000 photos in 3 days. We hired our own car and tour guide.

I give 5 stars to all ratings parameters. It can be a SIX star hotel. One of the best Ritz Carlton in the world. Luxury modern amenities with preserved japanese culture , that permeates into hotel service, hotel decor and ambience. It transports you to an luxury escape from the daily routine! It wakes up all 5 senses! The hotel MIZUKA restaurant transcends the japanese food to a new level and experience, worthy of Michelin star recognition!
