The hotel Does Not provide guests CarPark - this is a big problem during potentially busy time during dinner service time.All people using very limited car space on street . This inconvenience could be rectified by building available space near a liquor shop. My second comment- the hotel does Not have an escalator ! Or ramp for guest to go the second floor . Carry heavy bags and luggage up to narrow stair case is not easy !!!!

Overall a great hotel Needs a little updating Close to water The rooms are spacious Room services very good Unfortunately there is no furniture on balconies which is a shame. Not too many dinner options in town Must book the restaurant as no priority is given to patrons. Room service is great and very fast

The property is in a good location but is very tired. The specific room was even more tired, in need of general dusting throughout and did not have aircon in the bedroom.

The hotel and staff were great, recommend for a good holiday base. Room had everything we needed. The restaurant could better utilize the local produce and flavours, and was overpriced compared to the food available at nearby eateries.

The property was in a great location close to the water. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, even getting us dishes and cutlery so we could bring food to our room. The only meal we had was the buffet breakfast and it was not great, especially for the price of $25. It was very limited and half the items were empty when we arrived. We also found it frustrating that we had to walk across the street to check in and out.

We arrived at this hotel and reception staff were very helpful. Convenient parking. We had a family room upstairs overlooking the pool. Very quiet and spacious room. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff were amazing. The food was beyond expectation for a country hotel. Definitely go for the chocolate dessert! very decadent.

The advert photo is deceiving. You think, by choice, that you are booking into a charming heritage hotel but find yourself over the road in a stereotypical motel. Very disappointing, as was the absolutely filthy deeply stained carpet and the layer of very long black hair over the bathroom floor.

The location was great. We stayed for 4 nights in Jan 2023 in a family room. The room was spacious enough for a family of 3 and it was clean. Staff were nice and helpful. We thought it was a 4 star hotel. I'd give it no more than 3. The room looked tired. The furniture was old. The hotel photos certainly look so much better than the actual room.

The staff was great, very helpful and friendly. But my room was run-down with dirty carpet. The bed was quite comfortable though. I was in the 2-story building across the street from the restaurant.

I had an unusual experience at check-in. Reception informed me that they had attempted to charge my card 48 hours prior to check-in (of course it was declined). I questioned this and stated that my Expedia documents showed I would pay at check-in, not 48 hours in advance. Reception stated this was their policy. Perhaps Expedia could check with the Aurora Group so the confusion can be avoided in future. Check-in was then completed normally. The room was recently refurbished so everything was new. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a bight tight and could have used another 30cm width. The shower alcove needed a rack and the rack above the sink was in the way. TV and air con was great. Overall a comfortable and pleasant place to stay.

I’m surprised about the amount of positive reviews of this place on Expedia, given the amount of negative ones on Trip Advisor. We will never stay here A real disappointment. We stayed for 6 nights, and they only had the poolside family room 10 left when we booked a few weeks prior. It hadn’t been cleaned properly, grimy window ledges, stained and old carpets. Corners of room and bathroom floor grubby. It looked like the place hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. Awful bed and pillows. Room smelt musty and we could hear the next door neighbour snoring through the wall. Website says poolside rooms are disabled friendly. Thankfully we aren’t disabled, as there is no way our room was accessible with a wheelchair for example. The 3 rooms next to us all had a narrow door and a lipped step, so not sure where the disabled access rooms by the pool are. At check in the girl in front desk was disinterested. To top it all off, for 3 days we were woken by noisy workmen right outside our door and in the rooms above us, at 7am, which wasn’t too early but given we were tired from travelling and would have liked a lie in it felt early. We weren’t told about this on check in and it wasn’t mentioned on the website. Thankfully we didn’t eat here given all the negative reviews of the food. The location of the hotel is good, but if there was anywhere else available we would happily have left here and booked somewhere else with a clean, fresh room where the staff might have cared a bit mor

Our disabled poolside family room is not the one that you stayed in, our disabled room meets all the standards required for a disabled room type and is wheelchair accessible. Kind Regards
