Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
More of a dump than historic
Although centrally located in Kingman the area is pretty run down and the derelict hotel next door did not give a good initial impression. Inside it was a little better but our room at the back was dingy and there was no door separating the bedroom from the bathroom. the bedside light was faulty but, in fairness, this was quickly replaced. We did not use the ear plugs provided but perhaps we should have as the noise of the trains running past the other side of the hotel led to a poor night's sleep. When we left in the morning the place was deserted and we had to let ourselves out shutting the door behind us. Bizarrely, the hotel restaurant was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The motels outside the town centre may be soulless but this dilapidated hotel and its immediate environs should be given a wide berth.
